Didn’t Trump mostly have his base of poor, angry and unsuccessful people in these areas?

ya, that's what i heard, the reason given was some bullshit about nothing to do in a small town. Also wasn’t the “opioid epidemic” and before that the “meth epidemic” mostly a midwest/ small town/rural problem?
don't know. Poverty?why is white trash so prevalent in sparsely populated areas
It wasn’t a movie lolSo you have someone that is talking about real life experiences in the area they live in and your counter is "Yeah but I saw in this, totally not setup movie..."
/facepalm
It wasn’t a movie lol
The cars were set up, the reaction of the crowds wasn’t."I remember the episode of Top Gear or jackass I believe where they would drive around with a pride flag or I’m gay bumbersticker or something and got chased by a couple of hillbillies in a pick up truck"
Uh huh, movie or TV episode, same difference. Totally not set up

I mean I could do a little research to come up with more intolerant or violent hate crimes in these kind of area’s but you know damn well that these area’s are not the beacon of tolerance you make them out to be.
lolwut
your whattaboutism is a false equivalency.
you can't even stupidly compare to any kind of counterpart, you had to go extra off the rails and pretend that "giant corporations" are relevant to this?
It's a pretty dumb point, to be fair. You are entirely avoiding the point that I was making, either intentionally or maybe you're just unusually stupid, either way. Boring.
Yeah, like corporate welfare and massive military expenditure than never wound down after wars in the mideast. The cost is the US having an unnecessarily fucked up health care system.Nothing is free, child.
The truth bears repeating.
Please show me where I stated that... even once?
Your whatabout'ism crap was what bought the issue up not me.
How very depressing. It certainly does support my theory about the vastly different priorities in different areas though.

It's not city dwellers. It's people who've never had to make physical stuff happen. It's all hypothetical shit to them. Getting your hands dirty and busting your ass teaches you life can be ugly, you gotta earn your keep, there's consequences to actions and effort can cost you dearly.
Woke is not left first of all. It's the oligarchies strategy of an old time classic - divide and rule. Why do you think corps give millions to riotous BLM instead build housing in inner cities or other concrete measures like jobs/training? Or Goerge Soros, not using his tens of billions to help people not to commit crimes instead of electing DAs to not enforce crime?
Get citizens focused against each rather than the class struggle which can never be talked about. They want chaos division and war in the streets so they can walk away with all the marbles. They laughing at you all the way to the bank and behind armed compounds.
All the woke ideologies are funded by billionaires from university level to NGOs.
Why on dense areas? Where would you focus corp advertising to reach most ppl? NYC or Coweta Oklahoma
End game - oligarchy always morphs into aristocracy. They want right of kings all over again. Far from left.
Cope. Ya’ll can’t see the forest through the trees. The rich are taken care of by government. TS is too stupid to realize that.
@12ga. covered my thoughts further on the matter with this….

I would argue really that this view of "woke" is basically the centralist liberal establishment.
Something like BLM was I think a legitimate protest movement taking aim at a lot of structural racism baked into society. However I think the liberial establishment in politics and the media looked to basically shift BLM into simple partisan hatred and empty tokenism.
I would argue really from Obama onwards the main tactic of the the liberal centralist has tended to be tokenism. It obviously existed prior but Obama's election I think showed how effective it could be at playing to rising anti establishment feeling without really upsetting the status quo at all. So basically the media will look to shift social issues into some kind of celebrity/media proxy which can be sold to the public to try and sate their desire for real change. Some of those proxies maybe legit like Weinstein but the reality is that convicting him did not achieve very much in terms of addressing large scale sexual abuse.
I would say as well that this liberial establishment also loves partisan politics and it especially loves having a far right opponent to go up against, it allows them to shift further right but then force progressive voters to back them because they have suppressed a genuinely progressive option or painted it as somehow bgioted(Bernie Bros or Corbyn as an Antisemite). You can turn politics into a team sport were people will be happy if there "side" wins every few years even if both sides arent that far apart in realy important issues.
Truth is that poor urban Biden voters and poor rural Trump voters are both being fucked over voting for people/groups that don't give a fuck about them.
