obviously. the new deal and all... but there's a massive difference between a hybrid socialist-capitalist economic model (eg, some social programs) and outright socialism.

  • Taxes
  • Personal responsibility
  • Military
  • Civil servants
  • Marijuana
  • Guns
  • School/Education
  • Border security
  • Pro life with exceptions
  • Science - Not made up science
Stuff I don't care about:
  • Identity politics
  • Systematic racism
  • Illegal aliens
  • Pronouns
  • Trannies
  • BLM
  • Defund the police
  • Pay their fair share
  • Pro choice

I'm a minority raised in Texas. I have a BA & MBA, my wife has her BA & working on her MAC. We own 2 businesses & my son's college is paid for. We live by the lake in a beautiful home. Own a rental too.

We grew up poor AF. I was raised in a duplex, my wife an apartment. We had to scrounge up change for an extra 25 cent hash brown in high school. Our schools were ghetto AF. My parents met in the cotton fields & my MIL was a migrant worker. My first job was catching chickens, my wife a cashier.

We're a military family too. My grandfather lost his arm in WWII, my dad was a Green Beret & I was born on base.

We know poor but we know hard work too. You can lift yourself up with hard work. You can break the cycle. That's what makes this country great. At no point did we seek handouts. Now, my money works hard for me. And our employees but there well taken care of.

Musk isn't moving anywhere politically. if you think he has any real principles you're a fool. This is convenient for him as he is looking at SEC investigations, Unionization, and other business issues that the GOP is favorable to capital on. He's anti-labor, so it's a relationship of convenience more than anything else. Plus it's funny to see him test the waters and see how easily the right wingers are manipulated with his childish antics.

So you should be able to pull up lots of the video of him on the multiple recent presidential campaign of him calling for a full socialist economy rather than just Medicare for all and federal funding for college education.

Any source for Bernie wanting to convert the entire country's economic system?

The only thing Democrats have moved left on in that above list are marijuana and maybe abortion (support for a stronger safety net is something you didn't mention). The bottom list is mostly stuff that has no connection with actual governance--stuff that Republicans scaremonger about to get people to vote for politicians who support policies that they oppose. The exceptions there (i.e., bottom-list items where who is in power actually makes a difference) are tax progressivity and abortion, and police funding except it's the opposite of what activists talk about (i.e., police funding is higher because Democrats are in power and distributed more federal funds to state and local gov'ts than Republicans would have).
