Fury turned 34 yesterday and announced that he was stepping away from boxing permanently now.

Francis has been talking about boxing him for the better part of a year now. With that off the table, does that mean he’s basically a lock to resign with the UFC now? I doubt he boxes the Usyk/AJ 2 winner. Both of those men seem to be serious about boxing and defending belts rather than exhibitions like this.

Could maybe see them setting up a “KO artist” match against Wilder, although he also seems to be flirting with retirement now.

Think Francis will end up resigning and never getting that $10mil payday.

I dont really follow that closely, is he the kind to "retire" 47 times like Conor, or do you think he is really done?

He is closer to Conor than Khabib in this.

But it’s worth noting that Fury is saying nothing about a fight with Francis. He was trying to get a boxing match against someone else set up recently.

Lmao what… he was flirting a third fight with Chisora only just a few days ago. He’ll be fighting again, most likely against Ngannou.

He said boxing but I think his bout with Francis would be bare knuckle boxing

It would be funny as fuck. I said this was a very possibility right after Ngannou fought Gane. Fury was just doing what so many others are doing. Yeah, I’ll fight this guy that guy any guy. It’s just a way to keep the public focus on yourself.

Doubly funny considering he said he lost $7M already by not resigning.

Usyk
Joshua
Deontay wilder

Are all matches for Francis. But Wilder is the worst matchup even under mixed rules. Wilder hits the hardest.

Francis should only take a match with MMA gloves that allows all stand up techniques

That's what I was gonna say. Fury has gone back and forth on 'next fight' and 'retirement' talks for a while now

Joshua match won't be worth much if he loses against Usyk again, and Usyk would be destroyed against Fury. Besides Joshua, there's literally nothing for Fury.
I'd agree on thinking Usyk probably gets destroyed (Usyk's the sharpest and most technical by far, but sheer size difference and Fury's unorthodox style, toughness, and conditioning more than make up for it)
But it would be a fight that can be pitched on interest

lol none of those guys would accept that. Ngannou should thank his lucky stars if they even accept a boxing match with him. i said this from the beginning. Ngannou is an idiot for talking all that shit about UFC without having anything down in writing.

He may have did that for the PR. He may be retired like Mayweather, and taking freak show fights prepping for a fight with Francis. No matter what happens, he can say he's retired so it doesn't mean anything.

Why would any of those guys accept that lol? They are the A side, not Francis. They’re not going to kickbox him. If they even agree to fight him at all, it will be standard boxing rules so they know they are safe and have an easy win.

He has retired or announced retirement a few times already...nothing to worry about, but he seems to be aiming for an easy fight in boxing insted, crushing some old guy that he already beat twice but want to beat again for some reason, his fans in the UK will pack the arena anyway.
