It's not far-fetched that Russia would blow up their own pipeline and cost themselves billions.

It's closer-fetched that the country that has been in a perpetual state of war with a secretary of defense who was a board member of an arms manufacturer and a secretary of state who helped with the Iraq invasion would blow up Russia's pipeline and cost Russia billions. As well as, cutting off Russian energy to other European countries.

Since there is no definitive proof yet, but it seems most have made up their minds, what level of evidence would posters in this thread require to place the blame on one country or another? And would you believe Russia or the US if they produced evidence that demonstrated one or the other did it? What if Russia/USA claims that evidence is a fabrication?

I wouldn't believe either of them. They are two sides of the same coin. The only evidence I would take serious would have to come from a third party or nation that doesn't have skin in the game.

The Russians and Americans have shown time and time again neither can be trusted.

Not to mention German Chancellor Olaf Schulz was right next to Biden when he promised to put an end to to Nordstream 2 if Russia invaded. The Germans are probably in on it.
