It’s obvious that he was joking. I’ve seen Khabib teasing DC about Russian vs. American wrestling. Seems it’s just a friendly rivalry they have going on at AKA.

His comment about Jordan Burroughs only having a double leg though reminds me of a similar comment Khamzat made to DC. He was mocking American wrestling as being only single and double legs. That is true and I should have addressed that in fairness to him (I was being hyperbolic and having fun), but I think even that Askren would be very competitive in a straight wrestling match with Islam, only point I’m trying to make.
