Mine is obviously posting on sherdog, benching teh 275 for cardio sets and trying to not to height shame sub 6'4 manlets because he has grown as a person.

seriously though did they follow the cliche trajectory of peaking in highschool only to become a beer belly burnout?

i was talking about this with my friend yesterday who is completely delusional and called himself "the king of high school". in reality he wasnt well liked, didnt have tons of friends, thought he was way cooler than he was, and somehow convinced himself he was some kind of king in high school who was in the coolest group. He hung out in the same group I did, but I also hung out with tons of other groups, and that group was definitely not the coolest. he thinks because he wore expensive clothing his mom bought him, and stood in the corner at clubs all night waving his hands that he was cool. its hilarious hearing him talk about it, completely oblivious to the fact that he wasn't cool

I'll have to look it up... I don't have much interest in social media these days.

However, I hear the stereotypes of them burning out and peaking is not necessarily the case. The confidence or people skills they had can often take them places and translates well in adult life.

I had a few jocks in my school who ended up being pro athletes (I went to school in Texas). It was a generally okay to do middle to upper middle class suburban school I went to, so statistically, many students endiled up doing okay.

seriously though. I just learned Action Bronson is from my literal neighborhood & went to my high school. he was a freshman when I was a senior, yet he looks like he's way older than me now haha

Rashard Mendenhall
remember him,
rookie got his shoulder hurt by Ray Lewis during pre season.
was out for the year,
had a few good year after but still retired early.

think he was a late first rd pick which is amazing tbh.

The Center of my bball team ended up in division 1 of the NCAA,
but never was drafted, played 4-5 yrs in europe

I was the captain of the basketball team,
and was a class-a student.

But the coolest was a black guy who was selling weed.
Spoiler alert, he still selling weed as we speak.

I think he became a photographer for weddings and stuff. Last time I heard from him was a Facebook post where he mentioned the one that got away in high school. I never found out who he was talking about. He did date a super sweet girl for a while, it was probably her.

I bet he dumped her to chase some Boise dimes, and when he got older he realized she was wife material and he missed the boat.

Cant really say our school had a dynamic like that. There were popular people but not one person was the "most popular". I guess one grade year did and yeah he got fat and had kids young etc...but he was only really popular cause He held all the house parties.

I always noticed that the "cool guys" in school fit into one of two categories.....they were either athletes or delinquents. Those guys got all the hottest girls.

The delinquents actually seemed to outpace the athletes most of the time. Smart guys barely registered.
