Chandler will wrestle early this time...

I think Freestyle Canrat shoots from the locker room knowing he'd get sparked inside of one if he dared stand with Chandler

Chandler will realize that the expectation as a Jobber to the stars is for him to stand and bang, I’m just not honestly sure if McGregors power outside the realm of 145 will get the job done.

I fucking hope so, he have let me down a couple of times by now

My prediction is actually that Conor sparks Chandler early with a big left hand and then TKOs him with GnP strikes to the back of the head. Chandler is an incredible fighter and one of my absolute favorites but his weakness plays directly into Conors strength. He's hittable and I just don't see him being able to get a finish with grappling. If he doesnt go for a sub or GnP his only option is to lay and pray and from what I've seen he just doesn't have the patience and fight IQ to sustain a relentless wrestle heavy LnP gameplan.
I'm still in awe about this absolute fluke of a man enchanting so many normies. It's insane.
Conor loses in rd 1 or 2 by KO.

Chandler = bigger, better Mendes + full camp
Chandler in every fight: Let me Roleplay as Mike Perry

Honestly yeah. The fact that Chandler keeps openly telling anybody that will listen that he is planning to KO Conor on the feet, makes me think he's coming in with a wrestle heavy gameplan.

I think he will try to tire Conor out wrestling him for the first round or two. Then once Conor's lactic acid has built up he is going to embrace the crowd and his own ego and lack of fight IQ and go for a KO and either get it or get finished looking for it.

I don't see an early finish for Conor. His power is overrated and Chandler is a guy who up until now has shown ability to take a tremendous amount of punishment. If Conor shows up like the Conor of old he will win by TKO after punishing Chandler, but he needs to avoid brawling with him, because Chandler has the ability to beat anyone in that situation. He has lost a lot but has had his opponents in big trouble in every one of those fights. It could have wound up the other way.

Agree with this take.

Chandler is a multi-loser, but he is fierce, and competitive — at least for 5 minutes.

And that's about all of the danger Conor has in him as well ...

Creates an interesting matchup ...

See you at the top!

Conor's cardio will be utter shit after all the bulking and substances his body has endured during his filming and vacation, IMO.

For his sake, I hope he isn't still the plodding, flat-footed boxer he turned into.

If he can return to being an in-and-out fighter like the human dagger he used to be, he has a chance.

Until then, I'm definitely picking Chandler over a washed 'megastar' fighter.

This will be like Ken Shamrock returning to the UFC after his WWF run IMO.

They're gonna have to find Conor a 'Kimo' - or in his case, another washed Cowboy Cerrone.

yeah chandler stylistically is one of the, if not the easiest matchup in top 15 from LW to WW

Chandler probably gets stopped, if Chandler does use his wrestling it will be just to establish the threat of it and show Conor he can take him down. I'm still not sold on Conors wrestling but his takedown defense is alright, we haven't seen enough of it. Against Khabib he cheated from the first initial takedown, Nate Diaz & Poirier took
him down without any resistance. But Chandler doesn't have the intelligence to a proper gameplan and will get caught up in the moment. Chandler is tailored made for Conor.

Chandler is an absolute honey badger but if he’s shorter and has less reach than Conor, I think classic
Mcgregor has a good chance of putting him out with standing punches. Not sure where Conor’s striking discipline is at or the status of his ankle though. He’s shown a bad habit in previous fights of taking one to give one which could work in Chandler’s favour. If chandler successfully gets Conor down and tries a heel hook or ankle lock on the bad ankle could be a quick tap from Conor.
