Im ok with champions getting a free shot at a title in another division, why would he have rights for another? He went back and defended his, to me he needs a win at LW to get the fight.

I'd agree for "champions", in general.
When talking about the #1 p4p who only lost to the LW champ by controversial judge decision and who has cleaned his division to the point Max IV is in line.
I think he has the right.

Topuria is the real deal imo and would love to see him vs Volk. Just saying he'd have the right to another shot at Islam.

The point is Max would not find himself in big weight dissadvange in a match up with Gaethje, unlike what a sherbro was claiming, with no official back up neither.

Just like other FWs - Palomino, Johnson, Edson.. - didnt.
There might be a significant gap in punching power but not a weight disparity we dont regularly see in LW bouts.
Gaethje is not a big weight cutter at LW.

If Max added the weight properly and allowed himself time to train with that weight on and acclimate, I'd be interested in it. The issue is Gaethje ain't getting any younger and is quickly approaching the age where guys can lose that edge when fighting at such an elite level and lower weight class.

Max has a much smaller frame, Justin is thick and I imagine he rehydrates a good bit.. he looked Much bigger than Dustin last fight. If you could pick a style for Justin to do maximum damage.. it would be a smaller framed, boxing heavy striker heavy on the lead leg. It's not a good fight for Max to take.. not at all, but it's a fistfight.. I thinks she would be a pretty severe underdog though
