It’s an interesting take. I would say they don’t “promote indecency” technically, but you’d have to admit you would have a much higher chance of seeing dildos and assless chaps at a standard run of the mill pride parade than you would at a theatre act.
Drag is inherently sexual. You can’t separate the two. I don’t want to shut down drag in general, but I find it disgusting to have it be specifically targeted toward kids. I would have the same issue with bringing kids to burlesque shows or strip clubs.
I think you’d find more things that would qualify as public lewdness or indecent exposure at a standard pride parade than what they did in the dark.
Once again, I find what she did inappropriate. However, it doesn’t seem like anyone saw it live. It also doesn’t necessarily cross the line of what happens daily between teenagers in dark movie theaters.
So, to reiterate: public dildos bad. Sexualized acts in front of children bad. Men gyrating their pelvises for children bad.
