Multiplatform BALDUR'S GATE III

So TIL that you can't use the admantium forge a second time if you've already exited the area. Super bummed because I really wanted the shield.

I beat the hag and got all her potions, that I have no idea what the do.

Also managed to beat the Gyth at the bridge. It was my 5th try. Realized approaching from under the arch was the better tactical play.

Now I can't decide if I want to take the Underdark or Mountain Pass...

There’s only 2 potions out of Auntie Ethel’s place that actually have a benefit.
  • A Mother's Loathing (Good): Grants the Bite attack (2d4 piercing) until the next long rest.
    • Heart of Stone (Good): Grants immunity to Poison until the next long rest.
The rest of the potions will give you negative effects . My first play through I went Under Dark. If you that way
you end of helping Harpers survive blank. If you succeed they give you a location to meet up.
  • If you go Mountain Pass you meet up with
a Drider (spider/drow)and help them pretty much with blank event and tell you to meet at a different location)
  • Tried to be vague as I could in the spoilers

Those spoilers seem like they should be reversed?

Funny thing I didn’t realize until my second playthrough, you can actually do both. If you only want to do one of them though I would recommend the Underdark. There’s more to do there and the mountain pass is pretty short.

Mountain pass does have a legendary mace though so I say do that then the underdark

You can finish everything in the Underdark, except going up in an elevator. You can then go back and take the mountain pass route.

Whatever path you take it . It’s gonna hit the same story steps just with a different faction .
That’s the only difference. Depending on what alignment you’re going for good or evil helps dictate what path you wanna take.
Spoilers are accurate, first spoiler will take you to Last Light Inn where you can recruit someone by following their quest path.
Second spoiler will lead you to Moonrise Towers quicker.

Went Underdark and the 1st thing that happens is

I run into Elminister

And marked out.

Then having Karlach in my party, when we hit the Last Light Inn and run into you know who, she's starts totally fan girling.

This game has so many layers of awesome.

Wait till the Thaniel quest with Halsin. Story with that gets rather interesting. Act 2 tends to be a bit more bleak than act 1 , but the whole story sucks you right in. Wait till you get to the bar part. That gets rather funny

Hit level 12 a while back and still lots of stuff to do in act 3. Playing on balanced and didn't die since early act 2 in a fight. Gonna try tactician on my next playthrough.

Just finished Wyll's questline. Epic fight and a nice twist.

Which part of the quest? The rescue mission or the one that fetches you the sword that makes you into a huge giant

I love the team mission undersea but the one where you kill that hard ass dragon was the most rewarding

I've played games for over 20 years and this is one of the best.

Whoever skips this because they usually aren't into classic RPGs is missing out big time. I really don't know how to go back to the bland ass story, dialogues, and meaningless decisions in other games.

The very last one

I did this so I could see both places. I don't think it is a spoiler to tell people that they can actually come back from act 2 area to do the Mountain pass stuff.

Anyone know what this condition is? Jaheira looks fatigued all the time with some kind of icon floating above her head. I haven't hasted her and it doesn't appear to come from any items. It went away after a long rest, but after battle it came back.

Edit : Okay, found it. It's the concentration Hex. But I don't understand why it would look someone look in fatigued state.

Does she have something weird equipped (that she is not proficient with)? There's no curse icon next to her avatar but maybe remove curse could work if it's some sort of bugged curse effect.

I already removed all items once and I checked if they might have any side effects. And not being proficient with armor doesn't give you any visual side effects, right? Only lead seems to be the hex concentration spell, after a long rest you have to re-apply it, and before that she does not have that condition, only when I activate hex again.

Had a productive day in Faerun Yesterday. Started off dealing with Lady of Shar and telling her to Fuck off, shes not having Shart. Then I headed to Avernus and dealt with Raphael like a true hero should. From there I ventured deep into the city sewers and dealt with that bitch Orin and her Bhaal minions.

Think today i'm going to deal with Saving Duke Ravengard, dealing with the city watch, then off to show Lord Gortash a thing or two.

I don't want this to end.

Man Act 3 is so massive with so much going on. Seems overwhelming honestly. Going to try and go after Orin but I think it might be to early. Might go back and try to deal with Shadowhearts stuff.
