Khamzat still has no good wins in MMA even if he beats Usman, the guy is an old washed-up broken down Welterweight who tore his knee in the open work-out.

Nobody takes this win seriously in the MW division even if Khamzat pulls it off. Guy's only elite win in MMA is a LW that he scraped a tight decision from.

Usman has had bad knees for years. He's one fight out from being pound for pound number one. It may mean nothing to you but I doubt many people will agree with such a foolish thought.

Usman didn't look anywhere near as good in that second Edwards fight, so there's a chance he really has dropped off.

But one mediocre performance doesn't mean he's finished lmao

What's your opinion on Weidman beating a 38 old Anderson Silva, then ?

Oh my God the cope is already in full force lol

Damn the excuses are already prematurely coming out

Usman did not look confident in that presser, in fact he looked like a defeated man already.

I'm going to side with TS here. I get why Usman was a big fight to make, but he has no meaningful wins at MW, hasn't won a fight in just shy of 2 years, he's on a skid, and he's getting old. His credentials are that he WAS in the semi-recent past a great champ, he has a win over the current MW champ, and he's got a big name.

None of that is to say Usman can't win or Usman isn't an interesting match up, but beating a guy in a slump at a lower weight class doesn't really mean anything for MW.

I love Usman but we're all pretending this is a meaningful MW match up. Cannonier was the fight that would have told us where Chimaev stands in the division.

He beat Gilbert and Holland. Usman was champ with those knees. They were bad before. At this point it's a good win. It's not as good as when Colby fought Usman and lost, but that's still a dangerous Usman. I heard about his knees years ago. He fights with them being bummy.

That's true, but Michael Bisping became champ & defended with a busted eye, and according to GSP haters his win over The Count means nothing because he had a busted eye.
It will be the exact same thing for Chimaev if he wins...

And if Usman wins and gets a title shot vs Strickland out of it, and also wins that one, he will be a paper MW champ for "poaching the belt" from the weakest MW champ since Dave Menne.
"Where was Usman when Izzy was champ, uh??"

Who cares what some nerds say

Here we go with the bullshit. Nothing Khamzat does counts. Watch he could win the belt against Strickland after and people will say it doesn't count because he was a "paper champ" and not dominant like Izzy. Just crazy how everyone discounts guys like Jones, Islam, Khamzat because there is some haters here.
