Fury outlanded Ngannou 7 of the 10 rounds.
By 1-2 strikes barely haha. When this is the argument for why Fury won rounds he was visibly hurt in. This isn't ammy boxing where punch count is the ultimate score. The punch stats are so close that Ngganous clear power advantage is enough to take those close rounds as he actually had Tyson hurt multiple times and on the retreat. Anyone who says Fury landed more shots and should win because of that isn't scoring by professional boxing criteria.
Punch stats Fury and Ngganou

Rnd 1=11-6 Fury 5
Rnd 2= 7-6 Fury 1 Easily scored for Francis and was by judge
Rnd 3= 1-7 Ngannou 6 (10-8)
Rnd 4= 6-8 Ngannou 2
Rnd 5=9-6 Fury 3
Rnd 6= 9-5 Fury 4
Rnd = 7-5-5 Even (Francis landed much bigger shots in this round and this is the round Tyson went to his knees and "fell over")
Rnd 8= 9-10 Ngganou 1
Rnd 9=8-2 Fury 1

Thats not enough volume to give it to someone purley on total punches.
Rnd 10=6-4 Fury 2

I'm a Fury fan but I can admit Francis winning is a viable score even if only 1/3 judges agree, which itself is a huge win for Ngannou. It shouldnt have been possible but he made it happen. Fury is the winner, but it was battle of the baddest and I think Francis showed he is the baddest.

Well.... have to see the ppv #'s for Fury vs Ngannou.

Deontay expects to make bank, as does Francis, but I'm not sure that either dude can draw sufficient numbers to make it viable.

That is a problem Francis will have if he decides to go forward in boxing.... he wants superstar money, but he isn't a superstar atm.
It would be hard for a promoter to take that roll of the dice.

As for the fight, I suspect Deontay knocks Francis the fuck out. He hits like a truck, doesn't clinch a lot and Francis is there to be hit.
It'd be fun to watch though.
Saudi Arabia will make it happen, PPV numbers are irrelevant to them and Francis and Wilder will make bank there

The lineal heavyweight title in boxing died with Gene Tunney. He beat Jack Dempsey in 1926 to win the lineal title, then he defended it twice and retired in 1928 as lineal champ.

Uh he just, arguably, got the better of one of the greatest HW boxers of all-time and the lineal champion.

He fucking deserves to enjoy that.

never said anything about not enjoying it lol
Just saying I could see his head getting a little big budday

Do we now consider Francis Ngannou the Lineal Boxing Heavyweight Champion of the World AND Lineal Heavyweight MMA Champion of the world?

And if we do…

Is he now the greatest combat sport athlete of all time?
He lost. Did you miss that part?

And just in the UFC there are fighters with titles in more than one sport. Some have titles in more than two sports.

Educate yourself.

The ufc really sho themselves in the foot here. Why not let Ngannou box like they let McGregor box? Honestly. Dana White would be in full defense mode If Ngannou were still under ufc contract. He would say Ngannou won that fight plain and simple and these jokers in boxing were gonna screw him. I told him so but we know who really won. Anyway I hope it's out of his system for now. While taking a 25 percent cut from Ngannous 12 million dollar pay day or whatever it was that the Saudis paid him. Dana made a mistake. He did this before with fumbling the Fedor signing TWICE.

STFU

Again talking when you know nothing. This is not about Francis doing well for himself. My post relates to Francis calling Fury a motherfucker and doing a dance when he dropped him. I said don't bite the hand that feeds you because Fury gave him the fight and 10 Million before tax wont last long after he pays everybody what he has to pay. The thing you fail to realise is as soon as Francis loses again in MMA or Boxing he wont be getting the big Money fights. The mystique will be gone its already gone in my eyes in Boxing, he was competitive against a shite unmotivated Fury. The thing is Fury is lazy as fuck when he thinks the person is no challenge and fights this way. His fights can be chalk and cheese. We seen this before.

As a Boxing fan I want to see real fights guys that earned there shot. That fight was a cash grab for both nothing more.

Hence why Mayweather and Conor haven't had a rematch ....

so GTFO

Holy cope.

Francis Lost

The 10 million before tax won’t last long be nice to be mouth that fed you.
He didn’t get 10 or even half. Fury’s last boxing opponent got less than 4 so this sideshow wasn’t paying over double that for a stage prop.

Unlike me wtf do you know about me or how I live.

GTFO

Dont talk shite about something you know nothing about. Francis 37 very late in life to start making the dollars. Im sure hes also got plenty of people around him taking a share of his earnings.

The sponsors will be there until he loses he isn't Floyd Mayweather. The fight with Fury was his money fight so he better hope he gets the rematch because last I heard PFL wouldn't be paying Francis UFC money. Thats why im saying dont bite the hand that feeds you.

Thats why im living the dream while Francis is getting his brains punched in at 37. His 10 million before Tax say 6 million wouldn't even buy much of a house where I live.

He could have been both if not for boxing judges a pre contracted fight for Fury with Usyk. Roy Jones Jr has the perfect take about the fight and the outcome imo.
What did RJJ say about the fight? I missed it.

I don't think he did enough to warrant getting the nod. Francis made it close, which is unbelievable when you think about it, but two of the judges got it right. He didn't work enough and was taking rounds off to recover. Looking at Eye On The Ring only 6 out of 24 fan submitted cards were for Francis. All of the rest were for Fury. It's the other way around with fan scoring over at MMA Decisions so let's call it a wash. That leaves the media scores. The majority of media outlets across the web scored it for Fury (even several popular MMA sites). Fury looked laughably bad but anybody calling it a robbery is an idiot.

Francis is strong as hell, and Fury couldnt bully him around like most people. Francis tagged him in the clinch and even shoved him off a few times. You dont see people doing that to Fury. Francis also had a lot of success blocking / parrying the jab. Francis was able to change stances and Fury's shots didnt seem to faze him. Im sure Fury took Francis lightly, but I dont think Fury was out of shape. I was surprised at Francis's stamina as well. If you saw Fury's wife in the audience she looked very concerned toward the end of the fight. Most rounds were very close, but Francis had Fury in way more trouble and did more damage overall.
