Movies Marvel Studios in Crisis - A Variety Article

Back to the elementary school goading. Try again.

I’m not goading you to doing anything. I’m just stating you don’t possess a personal opinion. You made a big assertion then had to ask google to search for other folks opinions to articulate why you felt that way. Which is kind of pathetic considering how strongly you feel.

It’s a good example of the anti-woke crowd becoming dumber than the thing they are bitching about.

Fassbender brought the heat even in the crappy X films like Apocalypse. The scene where his wife and daughter are(accidently)killed by Polish cops is superbly done. After slaughtering the cops, Eric cradles his daughter's body and rages at God Himself,

"Is this what you want from me?! Is this what I am?!"

He was far and away the best thing about that movie. I thought McAvoy was really good in First Class and DOFP as well (the combo of the two of them worked really well together) but as the films went way downhill, Fass was the guy who continued to manage to somehow pull off a good performance in spite of it.

More on The Eternals. They don't fit in the MCU, even in the comics they're not a strong franchise. It was a bad team to green light for a movie.
BUT, it probably one of the best stand alone comic book movies in terms of quality all around. If every MCU had that level of quality dedicated to it would be amzing.

Yeah I was really impressed with the look and scale of it from Zhao and her team. Movie seemed to take a lot of heat but I thought it was pretty easily one of the better ones of this recent wave of MCU films.

Like the best films that have a stable of hero characters rather than just, say, one, I thought all the Eternals got their time to shine and I liked the way their powers were depicted. Gemma’s performance was solid and I thought the film did a good job of making her the sort of low key likable figure who then had to step up in a big way when the plans went awry.

Brian Tyree Henry was really good in my opinion as he often is. Really liked the way Phastos’ powers were depicted.

Whole cast was good in my view. Don Lee stole the show in his scenes despite having the least screen time of them. Angelina and Salma might have been the only ones who sort of stood out in the sense of being a bit distracting but they still were cool in my view. Lauren Ridloff was amazing and her character’s speedster powers looked great on screen.

Koeghan is always interesting. Madden was solid. McHugh did well with a role that could have been thankless and Kumail was his usual likable self.

There were some missteps and failed attempts at humor. It’s not a great movie but I definitely enjoyed that one quite a bit.

Even saying, for example that I couldn't name at least four examples off the top of my head, we both know that I could have just rephrased what others have already written on the subject. I simply refuse to because YOU want me to, given you have been such a giant douche on the subject.

It very quickly moved on from I couldn't be bothered typing it out to, screw this lazy prick who couldn't be bothered reading any of the many sources that have already covered this topic... but hey, believe whatever you like.

And yet you write out all these posts saying over and over again that you're not going to write out your opinion when it would be so much quicker to just write out your opinion.

When someone HAS a genuine opinion of their OWN, they EXPRESS it THEMSELVES.

Read my last response to the other moron, it covers why I refuse to.

The late, great Sir Christopher Lee said it best,

"An actor should never give a bad performance, even in a bad film"

Keoghan was definately a highlight but I felt the main weakness of the film was that overall the drama felt rather generic, more what you would expect from a bog standard CGI blockbuster and I think the calling card of the better MCU films always tended to be pushing beyond that.

They needed to take the "Daredevil/Punisher" route a long time ago.

Use an entire season for a great story instead of cramming all that shit into 3 hour clusterfuck

That was easily the best scene in the movie. He was also the only good part of Dark Phoenix. He also made Prometheus and Alien:Covenant worth watching. Dude goes all in no matter the quality of the movie he's in.

It's unfortunate they never made a solo Magneto movie with him in the lead.

You couldn’t name one example on your own and we both know that, because you didn’t.

It would have taken ten seconds for you to type one out but instead you had to go on a google search.

You said a movie you hadn’t seen would be full of woke politics seemingly because of the casting of diverse female leads alone
but I gave you the chance to explain yourself. You said no no no it’s because of what I saw in the last movie, which could make sense but you couldn’t recall a single political moment from the last movie on your own so doesn’t. Making it clear it was actually about the casting all along.

Then you got emotional and typed out a 1,000 word essay on why you couldn’t be bothered to type out a single personal thought on the flick. Other folks pointed out the movie wasn’t political and others pointed out your logic was ridiculous and here we are with you really emotional and hammering things in caps and calling folks idiots because somehow captain marvel has gotten your panties in a bunch.

Like you, a lot of guys bitching about “woke” movies all the time have gotten softer and more annoying than the thing they are whining about.

Also, know what makes your character work. The best Punisher season was Daredevil season 2. Because Frank operates in the shadows. You get a couple of good scenes to explain his backstory and philosophy,

"You hit them and they get back up, I hit them and they stay down!"

But for most of the series, he's just wrecking shit. The Punisher isn't really a complex character: he's basically a serial killer who's redeeming quality is that, instead of killing innocents, he preys on people who are much, much worse than him.

When they gave Frank his own Netflix series, they made the mistake of trying to humanize him. He shows emotion, has a one night stand with a woman, treats the teenager he rescues like an adopted daughter. That's not the cold-blooded sociopath from the comics we all know and love. You don't have to make Frank a nice guy. Just find the worst scum imaginable. and turn Frank loose on them. The enjoyment comes from watching the Punisher fuck their shit up.

Who knew marvel was such a hot button issue. This thread is starting to feel very war roomy.

@Contempt. Just take the loss and now out bro. It's embarrassing
idk, it’s been pretty funny to watch unfold. he’s been like Bambi on ice this whole time. he probably thought he would waltz in here, say a bunch of empty platitudes, & the people would hoist him up on their shoulders. instead he was asked to specify & completely shit his knickers

I couldn’t watch more than 2 episodes of the punisher series. #NotMyFrank

@Dragonlordxxxxx

Final trailer for The Marvels just dropped. Looks like they're trying to link this movie to the Incursion; other universes breaking into ours. Which of course will allow them to bring back other versions of Captain America, Iron Man etc using the OG actors. And pave the way to introduce the FF and X Men to the MCU.

No, YOU keep stating that over and over again not me.

Look I recognise that people like you are a bit slow and I couldn't be bothered typing it out using smaller words that you may be able to understand so I'll just copy and paste:

"It very quickly moved on from I couldn't be bothered typing it out to, screw this lazy prick who couldn't be bothered reading any of the many sources that have already covered this topic... but hey, believe whatever you like."

"Even saying, for example that I couldn't name at least four examples off the top of my head, we both know that I could have just rephrased what others have already written on the subject. I simply refuse to because YOU want me to, given you have been such a giant douche on the subject.
"

Now read it again and if you need to use a dictionary to look up any words you don't understand, then that's fine little buddy.

You mean apart from the fact that I immediately gave him the EXACT search string to lead him directly to the dozens of articles with the information that he was after?

I could 100% have just written it the examples off the top of my head or rephrased one of the many others that have already covered this in great detail, but as he was being such a massive douche since the start, I simply refused to out of spite for the fact that this idiot seems to think that he can goad or force me to do anything.
