Media Tom Aspinall KO Sergei Pavlovich GIFS

I doubted Tom, he made it happen. Pavlo is used to being the hammer. Don't know why he backed off some when he landed that good one.
My thoughts too on Pav backing up, but I dunno if it's an issue with "being the hammer", rather Tom's speed and power in those shots was perfect for the moment.
There isn't a person alive, not Francis nor Jones, that would not have gone down from the pair of shots Tom landed to the temple tonight.
I was picking Pav tonight, but this is a fight where I would have been happy for either guy winning, and I am. Listening to Tom in the post fight makes me like him even more. Absolute class act.
In the 1:10 worth of fight we had Pav land and stun Aspinal and then the reverse but with a KO ending for Aspinall. Gotta love the heavyweight division. Thanks Kaz

With all the rubbish we've had at HW for a while and recently (Lewis/Almeida snuggle), we fucking deserve it. Went exactly as we all had hoped, short, violent, and exciting.

Aspinall has sparred Tyson Fury and Ngannou and has boxed professionally.

I should have put money on him winning

So he KOs him in 30 seconds on 2 weeks notice but he "absolutely " couldn't beat him again? LOL, brilliant logic

Well JDS also KO'd Cain in their first fight and look at how that ended, Cain came back with a better game plan and destroyed him, I totally see Pavlovich coming back even more dangerous I don't think this is the last you're gonna see of him if anything this has lit a fire underneath him.

Also what luke warm thinking it is that oh someone scored a KO so therefore he would absolutely do it again in reality that like hardly ever happens if anything the next time they fight it will be a totally different fight altogether.

Best HW on the planet. He ate Sergei's power and was unfazed, then when he got his turn he iced him.

It was super impressive no doubt but anything can happen in a fight and not to make excuses because this was as clear cut as it gets but to me having watched Sergei over the last couple of years I gotta say he looked stiff tonight and overreacted to everything. I think these 2 will face off again and it will be different someone said this could be like Sylvia/Arlovski all over again I tend to agree.

It seemed like Pavlovich hesitated where as Tom didn't at all.

True. Perhaps it was just destiny on Tom's side tonight, some things you can't train for. Knowing he was coming in with nothing to lose but everything to gain, and only a human standing in his way.

There’s a reason he hesitated - Tom is frickin’ dangerous! Fast and precise, and he moves really well, as we saw immediately after Pavlo connected. If he had opened up there, I could definitely have seen Tom countering him with the same outcome.

Perhaps. Tom fights like this every time though. I’m starting to believe that he’s really special.

Jones would have run over both of these bums like they were pregnant women and he had a car. Easy JBJ W. haters will deny it but it’s the truth

Oh I 100% believe he is the future of the division and have known that he will be in the top mix for years to come from seeing his movement in earlier fights, legit has the footwork of a MW in a division where almost everyone is plodding. Tom is really special overall, his dad molded him to be this since he was 4. I still think Sergei sticks around in the top for a long time, too. You can't teach an 84" reach and disgusting one shot power. The future of the HW division is looking bright, and who knows what kind of hidden talents are waiting around out there.

Exciting times for the division for sure! Aspinall and Pavlovich will meet again, but I believe Tom is the new king as well.

Tom said he's just gonna shoot his shot which is always the way to go because then you don't have to deal with nerves and all the mental BS that could get in the way, I think Sergei was being affected by that but also that this loss was what he needed in order to grow and develop and I think he will come back better.
