The student I have who is currently in the legal system here in Vegas is white, was also on the news as he and a bunch of his friends jumped a Mexican kid:

According to a statement by his Father, he intervened in an altercation between a friend and a couple of other kids. This wasn't 15 kids specifically targeting him, that's why it was worded that way.

The point of this thread isn’t “black people are bad” but it’s more to point out that the media won’t cover this and if it were reversed, they would and there would be a huge uproar over it and there simply isn’t because this kid is white and the assailants are black. I am not saying “all black people are bad” but there are an awful lot of crimes that don’t get attention in the media that it happens so often or it is downplayed. Hell, I read an article last night on blacks attacking Asians and they actually had the fucking audacity to say that white supremacy forces this issues

It's not a claim, it's how it is being reported. And yes, getting jumped and beaten by a dozen people can be and often is part of getting involved in a fight.

I showed a video where the roles were reversed in (at least visually) in the same City which wasnt covered by National News as a hate crime, no huge uproar. There was no thread about it here, either. Just sayin'.

Whatever the reason they should be treated as adults and the minimum should be 2nd degree murder for anyone that put hands on him. Minimum of 25 years before possible parole

If anyone pit hands on after he was down it should be first degree murder. Life with no parole.

And just a cursory search for that story would have led you to articles that gave you enough context to determine that this wasn't an incident where 15 black kids just jumped a white kid and stomped him for racial reasons.

I don’t see anyway this isn’t a hate crime, but without proof that it was race related, it won’t happen. Personally, I believe this kid was targeted because he was a white kid that dared to stand up or fight one of them and then the swarm started

If he was targeted for being white (of which you have presented no evidence of ) then why weren’t the other white kids in the group attacked? Unless they too were attackers which also destroys your narrative. I hope the attackers are brought to justice and they are tried as adults.
