International Tesla's Cybertruck (AKA 'The Elon') Tested on BBC's Top Gear

its just so ugly. idk who is looking at this and picking it over literally any other option. I think sales will fall off a cliff the moment the novelty wears off.

Sure, shit on the man's truck. But if he came out with a robot sex doll you'd all treat him like a g-d

<[analyzed}>

Every Tesla robot has been ass.

Musk announced humanoid robots in 2021 "within a year" by showing off a man in a robot costume dancing.

Still no humanoid robots from Tesla and we're nearing 2024.

going to be hilarious when this truck becomes the gold standard, kind of like how the model Y blows away the EV competitors

As Dr Brackis would say (RIP)

Enron Muskrat is a con man and his products are shit - the one that are not outright fake

Sometimes you need chains in the mud too bud.
A lot of the US is cold in the winter (who knew!) A truck(?) that you can't use in the winter??? Seems like it's an overpriced toy. The specs look good, but if you can't run it in winter really at all, and if you can't put chains on it (like for instance - you can't put heavy duty chains on the front tires on a Tacoma because Toyota has break lines and other goodies the chain can wrap around to easily - which was why I asked about chains and this monstrosity to start) what good is it to those that actually use their trucks, or live where the temps get to freezing and far below?
Just seems like a fast accelerating novelty vehicle to me.

Ugly as sin, but, if you live in a decently warm area, the truck is actually quite nice. Can't really argue with the performance. If only it didn't look like a Johnny Cab from Total Recall, it would be fantastic.

I was under the impression that this was being developed for military purposes. I don't see many people in the general public buying that...thing. Although, it looks familiar. Like a vehicle out of a futuristic movie, that I can't quite put my finger on. I'm thinking the original Terminator in the war scenes, but I'm not sure.
Looks vaguely like a Johnny Cab in Total Recall to me. Or that is what springs to mind when I see one.

If you were given the choice between a free 911 or a Cybertruck, which would you take?

I'd definitely go for the Porsche; most people would too.
Cybertruck. 911 is notoriously bad at towing trailers.

Um. That's more testing of tires than the truck. Plus that's not snow. I'm talking about 4 chain real snow. The type of snow with packed ice underneath that you need a truck for. That coming up and over your hood/bonnet as you're driving type of snow. Knee deep plus snow. You know, the good and scary type of shit. The type of shit that makes your butthole pucker when you're on that fucked up mountain trail trying to get out, climbing that steep 45 degree incline that has a cross slope that will take you right off the mountain. You know, the good shit. Again, the snow you need the power (this vehicle definitely has it), clearance and ability to run chains on that you need a truck for.
I could run my wife's CRV on that shit in the video no problem.

You know that Tesla has made vehicles before, that blazes through the snow. Let me post this again

Thats not the point. Battery operated devices dont handle cold weather well. At freezing point batteries will lose 30% of their power. At single digit temperatures the batteries will lose 60% of their power.
Seems like it would be relatively simple to add a heating wrap around the battery that would take a few minutes to warm it before beginning a drive if you will be needing more than 30% power. Aren't frozen ICE engines putting out less power tham when warm as well? Not defending the vehicle for any specific reason, just making a technical note, and they might even have already added this to their vehicles before for all I know

Again, fella, I watched that video you posted. My wife's CRV with good tires, especially studded, would have looked the same.

What Tesla climbs up mountains through multiple feet of snow again? Like a truck?

Chucka chucka in la trucka baby!

The Y easily rips through snow

Cybertruck has 17” clearance and globs of power. Can’t imagine it doing worse than the Y.
