Or he is saying AEW don't capitalize on their "major signings". {<shrug}

A lot of television is down big meanwhile AEW is maintaining it's audience and revenue is up year by year. I'd take a guess and say the "major signings" are a big reason they've at least stagnated and kept their audience instead of losing their audience.

Meanwhile Eric says there's "zero net positive" and claiming they only pop t-shirt sales. I'd say keeping a stable audience while a lot of entertainment on television is hemorrhaging their audience, is a net positive.

He's clearly either stupid or negativity farming.

All that would make sense if the other guys "major signings" haven't improved ticket sales, tv ratings and all around revenue.

@Pliny Pete I don't know if you've ever listened to the four Exile on Badstreet episodes with Kris and Jeff Bailey covering 86 and 87 JCP but they're pretty, pretty good.

Wtf costco has 3 cookies for 2.49 now instead of my beloved churro.

This is a sad day for my business.

Both can exist though and still be a positive. WWE's current ticket sale improvement doesn't mean that AEW maintaining a stable audience isn't a positive.

WWE ratings haven't improved either. Compare the last few months of both RAW and Smackdown and they're down about 100k-150k per episode than the previous year, which is actually really good considering how bad most of television is doing.

Both companies have improved overall revenue.

But "AEW bad" brings in podcast viewers/listeners from a weird corner of the internet lol

and didn't WWE's ticket sale improvement start when Vince McMahon got ousted and The Bloodline story heated up?

Wonder what RAW on Amazon Prime will look like as far as commercials.

If RAW becomes a commercial free show, I might be back in and start watching again. Watching AEW on Fite the last few years commercial free has basically ruined every other wrestling show that has commercials lol those shows with commercials are hard as fuck to watch now.

Hopefully Raw finally goes back to two hours.

"aew bad".....is silly social media fuck shit.

You can easily use "wwe bad" to anyone who criticizes that company.

Maybe some of these rassler podcasters actually mean what thry say? Naw....can't be.....I like them so anyone else who says something bad are just trolling for likes.

Yeah the "WWE bad" podcasters and "journalists" are retarded too. It's weird both ways.

and no I don't think Eric believes what he says when he throws out terminology like "zero net impact" and "only pops t-shirt sales". No fucking shot anyone believes AEW signing Adam Copeland or Bryan Danielson or CM Punk has had "zero net impact" when revenue is up and they haven't lost their audience when so many other TV entities are losing their audience.

Eric Bischoff has done this before, it's not new, he once said CM Punk didn't draw a single dime for AEW and had no impact on business whatsoever. Tony Khan proceeded to show the receipts and publicly embarrassed Eric.

If he does actually mean what he says, he's stupid.

I am excited to be able to consistently watch a wrestling show, and not have to find some shitty stream

Matt Riddle is claiming that he was supposed to win the 2022 Royal Rumble, but after Brock lost to Lashley earlier in the card that Brock decided on the fly that he was gonna win the Rumble. Said Brock showed up in the ring, didn't want to do business with anybody and said "I'm winning". Riddle said "Nobody stood up to him, including me".

Would be hilarious if true. Brock coming out at #30 and punking everyone in the ring, putting in 2 minutes of work, and calling it a day. Vince just sitting in Gorilla all like ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ <Lmaoo>

I'd have shot on him, BG. Big nasty hooks to that surgically repaired belly. Mexicans are his weakness.
