It is funny that many mma fighters think and complain that they are under paid and would like a union but then support Republicans.......

Masvidal's comments on it were just brilliant. I made a thread about it a while ago:

He'll show up and generally support the industry, which is nice to see, and most politicians wouldn't be seen dead doing that as they're far more aloof.

He showed respect to the sport while being notoriously anti-fighter when he was in president. Trump and the UFC wasn't just a chance meeting, it was a beneficial relationship that helped out both parties.

There is significant overlap between those who watch the UFC and those who are fans of Steve Harvey. I guess they watched Steve Harvey's show, including this clip, and since have become fans of Donald Trump. Just my little scientific analysis.

Tyson also speaks highly of Dana White despite the latter's miserable treatment of fighters and use of similar tactics to Don King, who Tyson hates.

In other words, Tyson's views aren't really logical or consistent, and should not be treated as such.
