Social AI generated Taylor Swift Images spark outrage

I don't know what to think of this honestly, the possibilities are kind of scary. I don't see how they can stop this. If someone in Russia, Pakistan, or any other country that isn't friendly with the west posts this how is there going to be any recourse?

You gonna tell that to your daughter and hand her a rope?

What a stupid thing to say.

"Hey ladies, if you can't handle your very real likeness being on film sucking off sixteen dicks, toughen up or kill yourself."
If it were real and they were embarrassed by their actions, it's a completely different story.

But if it's fake and they decide to kill themselves over it, they're being suicidally unreasonable.

If someone shouldn't be prosecuted for doing the world's best Photoshop of porn, then they shouldn't be prosecuted for typing words into an AI prompt to create fake pictures.

As long as the pictures are not being passed of as genuine, there is no crime, not should there be.

Expression is free unless it creates an unstoppable immediate threat.

If someone writes someone's name under this picture, should it be illegal, too?:

Fake is fake, no matter how close to real it looks. It should remain free expression, no matter whose feelings get hurt.
You will never be a stick woman. You have no eyelashes, you have no bow in your hair, you have no dress. You are white background and black ink twisted into a crude mockery of ms paint's perfection

Hopefully that skank and her sell out POS boyfriend Mr. Pfizer will get another vax shot before being around people at the super bowl.

These will be as close to as authentic as it gets. To the point where you can't tell the difference. You think some girl in high school is gonna be totally unaffected by her virtual porn being passed around, just because it's not actually her, and just a virtual clone? Really?

So what?

Free expression doesn't end where someone's delicate sensibilities begin. Someone's feelings getting hurt is no justification for curtailing the expression rights of an entire country.

Not everything found in poor taste requires an act of Congress.

The right to humiliate women, by stealing their likeness and making jack off material for the world?

Hilarious how you think a girl has "delicate sensibilities", because they don't want to virtually star in an all anal gangbang. All you're telling me is that you don't really know anything about women, and are judging their emotional capacity through your own.

Tell me, if it's no big deal, why did twitter panic and take down the pictures of Swift, and block all searches related to her? Because she was gonna sue the absolute shit out of them. If nothing illegal happened, what are they worried about? They've got porn all over. Why are they concerned about the fakes? Because even they don't know the legal implications of this, and they don't want to be the first to find out.

Twitter did that as a friendly favor. There was no fear at all of liability.

Section 230 makes platforms completely immune from criminal and civil liability for content posted by their users.

The pictures were also obviously completely fake as Taylor Swift's ass isn't that plump.

The second you set foot on public property, it is legal to photograph or film you. A person can do whatever they like with that, including, but not limited to making alterations. As long as the intent isn't to defraud, there is no crime or civil liability.

Hell, mrdeepfakes dot com has been around for years. You can watch almost any celebrity or twitch streamer you want in deepfake porn.

Deepfake porn isn't going anywhere. Might as well get used to it.

ROFL!

That's horseshit, and you know it. Her very powerful legal team made a stink, and they jumped like they were hit with a cattle prod.

"Friendly favor", LOL. Yeah, they hate content that generates 40 million views in less than 24 hours. They did it for the Swifties!

Some principles are more important than "I don't like that."
Reported for instant ban...

If it was from Twitters or Elon's official account, you might be correct, but as I said before and you conveniently omitted, section 230 prevents platforms from facing liability for content posted by users.

And I'm saying that there are gonna be cases in the very near future that are gonna change those laws, because these are uncharted waters. Laws change with the times. Drunk driving wasn't illegal with the invention of the automobile. Over time though....

Might not go away completely, but there will be landmines the creators will have to tip toe around, if they insist on doing it. Much like the internet itself, it ain't gonna be a free for all for very long.

This is fucked up. It will make the celebrity impersonators getting gangbanged for money unemployed.
Tbh, I could see the porn industry putting a shit ton of money into any case trying to ban deepfake porn.

Why watch pornstars when you can watch anyone you want.

There are already laws on the books for abusing deepfake technology with regards to minors.

A man in New York was charged for using deepfake technology, among other offenses, with a minors face. It's important to note that he was also passing off the deepfakes as genuine.

Of the 11 women he did this to, he only got charged for using the face of one of the girls when she was a minor as the others did not break the law.

I find your infantilizing view of women as a group of over-sensitive pearl clutchers quite misogynistic.

Ahh yes. False accusations have never ever driven someone to kill themselves .

Dude come on. A false allegation is enough for young women / and men to make terrible decisions.

Somehow " fake " video wouldn't be ?
