When did you start losing interest in Pro Wrestling?

You didn't like girls til you were 15?
Nah I was playing with action figures in the bathtub until I was ten. I was in a Catholic all boys schools because my dad worked overseas. I only got a gf when I was in 9th grade? I had to write letters and pass notes. I had no time for wrestling anymore.

Lost interest in ECW when Taz finally beat Shane Douglas for the belt.
Lost interest in WCW after the Fingerpoke of Doom and David Flair main-eventing.
Lost interest in WWE during the botched invasion angle after Vince bought WCW.
Got interested in 80s rasslin thanks to a streamer on Justin.tv in 2010.

Wasn't that almost immediately after Goldberg's winning streak came to an end? Nash took the belt off him right, because Hall had attacked Goldberg with the cattle prod.

<Dany07>

I actually had AEW clips slide into my YouTube feed over the weekend and was shocked to see that not only is Tony Schiavone around and employed by them, but STING is still an active worker, at 64?! That shit is unreal.
Yes, although I had no problem with Nash beating Goldberg.
Sting is about to have a retirement match.

Immediately upon becoming aware of its existence.

About 20 years ago. Still watch videos related to it.

I aged out around 88 or 89... lol. I used to love watching on Monday Nights... then just lost interest.

However, I really enjoy seeing videos on Tik Tok or Instagram of the Attitude era.

Stone Cold, The Rock, HHH... and Fucking Kane. Watched a short show on Kane. What a crazy dichotomy of a dude who was fucking scary beast in the Ring and the most absolute gentle, nicest guy you could ever meet in real life.

Wish I was young enough to be into Wrestling in the late 90's/early 2000's with all those guys and the story arc of the Undertaker and Kane being rivals and them becoming the fucking best tag team there will ever be... Seriously, how can you top those two. It will never happen.

I missed all of that. I was so out of it that I got Goldberg and Stone Cold mixed up sometimes. lol

I saw this video on TikTok... and I cried like a bitch.

Glen Jacobs.... Also this guy...

When I started watching mma/ufc probably would be the strongest interest that made me leave pro wrestling... I then stopped watching ufc years later when it stopped being a sport to become more entertainment... I dont watch either now, I watch very specific 5 minute clips/fights from each one as I may find them interesting... If I wanted to be known as just one night I would prefer to say I was a pro wrestling fan more than the other... at least pro wrestling was always truthful to being entertainment and only entertainment.... the other became a let down to be honest

When wrestling was come to my village and I see Nature Boy Flair defeat by Inoki his kick. At that moment I was been realize that Slap Combatant was having on averages many much more durable and the style better simulate real-life combat situation. It was most definitely change my whole life of mine in that moments of time.

Always loved this video...

Professional Wrestling is just a Soap Opera for kids and adults. Its really not about Wrestling.

Say what you will... It's still around after what? 80 years? When did it start? When TV started to become a thing in the 50's or 60's?

My earliest memory of wrestling was watching George the Animal with my grandpa chew on the turn buckle and the Baron stalking victims with the Claw... lol

Abraham Lincoln was a pro wrestler, so just a scootch before the 1950's

I got really into wrestling during the height of the Monday Night Wars, so late 1997 or so. My interest started waning after the brand split in 2002. Most of my favorite wrestlers ended up on Smackdown, which I couldn't watch since my cable supplier didn't have UPN or whatever. Instead, I was stuck watching Triple H having sex with mannequins while wearing a Kane mask, so yeah. I would still tune in from time to time, but it just wasn't the same. Then my interest completely died after the Chris Benoit incident in 07.

I experienced perfect timing for the transition from pro wrestling to real fighting. Was into it as a kid in the late 80's Ultimate Warrior, Hogan and Randy Savage era and through until the late 90's attitude era as a teen with Austin. WWF was the biggest thing on TV at that time and looked to be taking over the world.

When Ken Shamrock and Dan Severn came on the scene in the WWF and Goldberg in WCW (whose character was an MMA fighter) it led to getting into this underground sport called NHB. After that pro wrestling started looking ridiculous and the progression was natural once suspension of disbelief was no longer possible.

1st time very slowly after the Invasion angle, by WM18 I was only sticking around for Rock vs Hogan, after that i tailed off until not watching at all by WM19. Pretty much never went back to watching WWE religiously ever again.

2nd time was Hogan and Bischoff ruining TNA, like a lot.
