Rewatch What was the worst destruction of a champion ever?

As much as I hate to say it, it's probably this one 13 seconds in:

Then probably this one, right after Rogan sack gargled Cain, saying this would be well-rounded MMAist vs. 1-dimensional boxer:

It's gotta be Colin and his 13 seconds, right? Aldo is the FW goat and got faceplanted before anyone even broke a sweat.

I just got around to watching Topura vs Volkanovski and it was completely one-sided, short, and most people are now saying Volk is done. He is now 1-3 in his last 4, albeit against top opponents. What was the worst attempt at a belt defence, where the champion had absolutely nothing for the challenger?

I'm going to have to go with Rousey - Holm (UFC 195, 2/1/2016). This was a shocking upset against a seemingly invincible champion and heavy favourite, which took Ronda to the brink of suicide and all but ended her career. Holly stifled Ronda's grappling with ease and humiliated her on the feet, knocking her out cold in the second round.

A.Silva vs Franklin

The one that always pops into my head is Jones/Shogun. TJ/Barao was pretty brutal, as was Cody/Cruz.

Manny Muniz employing the tank n spank strategy against KO Christapher to win the WW strap was a thing of beauty. Ate every shot, was ahead on the cards going into the fifth, then slept him. Complete destruction of one of the scariest and hardest hitting warriors in the sport.

Yeah I thought Jones had bitten off more than he could chew against Shogun, he destroyed him, I couldn't believe it
Exactly. He had looked like a virtuoso up to that point, but we've seen lots of virtuosos. I thought he'd beat shogun, but I didn't think he'd do that. Took Shogun's legendary durability and made it look like a joke. Past his prime or not, Shogun having absolutely nothing to offer Jones was a wake up call that Jones was going to be a serious problem for a long time.

Garbrandt vs cruz
Dillashaw vs Barao

Those 2 will always come to mind when asked this question.

It's Silva/Franklin I or Shogun/Jones. That simple.

I feel like mine are worse, because they are just as one sided but prolonged.

Barao was getting absolutely pelted for 4 straight rounds he was essentially Ko'd in the first and his ghost was in there getting the shit beat out of it for the rest of the fight.

Eddie Alvarez vs Conor was pretty lopsided. Eddie looked like he didn't belong in there
Same, agree, Dave Menne vs Murilo Bustamante was something similar for old school fans.

IMO if Bust was more aggressive, he might be considered one of the best eva, instead of a hidden treasure.

of course, Menne may be best known for this, shortly after loosing the belt.

13 seconds is hard to top in terms of destruction.
