Which one do you use more? What do you use to listen to music?

I'm a big Youtube Music user. I use it all the time, every day.

I only have 1 playlist I ever use on Spotify, I have over a 100 on Youtube.

Spotify lets you adjust the eq settings. Much better audio quality in my opinion. I think some phones your audio settings will let you adjust it from there but mine doesn't let me, so I need the Spotify app to do it

I'd essentially only use Spotify for travel cause I could download a JRE podcast or 2 and fall asleep. Their video player is ass. I tried using just music on there as well and I'm just not a big fan. Really liked Google Music until it became YouTube music. Now I just use regular YouTube.

For music its definitely Spotify, I have all kinds of playlists and albums on there that I listen to when i work out or do yard work or clean the house
I do use Youtube to find new music though, I have several channels favorited on Youtube that are always posting new videos and songs in the genres I like to listen to

I use Youtube every day to watch podcasts and documentaries and live streams and old school rasslin matches though so i probably use Youtube more, just not as much for music

YouTube might seem like innocent cat videos and makeup tutorials, but behind the scenes, there's a sinister plot unfolding. I call it the "Algorithmic Mind Control Conspiracy."

YouTube's algorithm isn't just recommending videos based on your interests, it's actively shaping your thoughts and opinions.

Spotify all the way.

I knew there was a reason I had a strange urge to buy a hairless cat and lipstick

Spotify for music
YouTube for meme videos, recipes, and how to fix _________.

Spotify has the "Discover Weekly" feature I use, but while there is an occasional gem, it mostly recommends crap. It honestly makes me question how smart AI is when it can't pick songs I like based on the hundreds of songs I've "liked" in their app.

I'll have to look at YT music, I've never considered it as a source.

Spotify has the worst podcast interface ever. They make it such a pain in the ass to organize your episodes the way you want them, and they never seem to keep my spot when I have to pick up where I left off. They start playing some other episode when I want it to pick up where I left off.

When I was using iPhone I had an app called overcast which was great. But sadly they're not on Android.

Anyhoo, back on topic, I find them both frustrating. YouTube doesn't let me hit thumbs up or down on certain songs, no idea why. And their algorithm always seems to drift towards some shit I don't want to hear.

But since I get YouTube music free with my YouTube premium subscription, that's the one I'm going with. I can't justify paying separately for Spotify.

I have that same issue! But it wasn't always like that, I seem to remember it working fine but sometime last year it changed. Honestly, I listen to far fewer podcasts because of that. It's just very troublesome to shuffle through when I've got my phone connected to my car radio, which is 90% of the time I wanna listen.

Yeah, I pay for Youtube Premium too. I like it.

I use YouTube and a private site for FLAC and high quality rips.
