That's feliniousJesus, I know it's all too easy to anthropomorphize but I just can't help but to try and imagine how he would have been feline. Probably bad.
That's what tigers do.. go straight for the brain stemDamn. That s brutal AF. Is there any rationale for slowly gutting the other lion alive like that? Is it cruelty or it's the best course of action in the predator world?
I would expect that it's easier to go for a quick kill in all scenarios?
He wasn't lion down without a fight
I think he's in an Iron Lung..........But did he died?
Lion fights are very brutal. I've read about stuff like this when I was learning about the Brothers of Mapogo. They would do similar stuff to other lions to take over their prides, and in animal karma, a couple of them, like Kinky Tail, would suffer the same fate as the lion in the video

I thought all cats do that. Kill and eat in leisure. Unlike bears who eats you while you're screaming and kicking. That's what tigers do.. go straight for the brain stem

Animals don’t have the ability to reasonThey usually break the spine and rip off the genitals. The attack can last for a while as they systematically break the lion down. It's pretty rare to actually continue to gut the lion and eat parts of it though. They must have really wanted to make a statement.
To me, it always felt like a mix of minimizing risk, destroying the lion's bloodline via the genitals, and inflicting a brutal death to make a statement (especially if other lions could be in the area). When they hunt prey though they will usually try to kill as quickly as possible.
@lsa you cats are some vicious bastards!
