International Iran begins attack on Israel, launching dozens of drones that’ll take hours to arrive

"Iran can't be negotiated with, they will never accept Israel right to exist" say the people that consider the Iranian State as an enemy that must be destroyed by military means.
I think before Oct 7th things were trending towards de-escalation. Assad was readmitted into the Arab League and China negotiated the normalizing of relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia. My impression is that right after the Arab Spring kicked off both sides were competing for all the marbles but in the end neither side could get all they wanted and so they started to trend towards détente. Of course Oct 7th threw a wrench into all that.

As much as the Iranian regime going away would benefit humanity as a whole, it won't simply go away without either reform or a war, Israel is pushing the world for a confrontation with Iran, i don't see any other reason why they would oppose the West efforts to reach détente.

The Syrian refugee crisis was a catastrophe and Syria had ~1/4th the population in 2011 that Iran has now, imagine how bad that refugee crisis could get. We know Israel is desperate to see regime change there but will they take in any of the refugees that will pour out of Iran in the event of a protracted war? I doubt it.

Iran will likely cease to exist as a functioning country over the next thirty years. Interestingly enough, they will have been done in by their own incompetence as opposed to any foreign plot. Also, this incompetence stretches back to the Shah's regime, so whoever is left won't even be able to place the sole blame on the Islamic Republic. How is Iran going to die? Like everything else that dies in the desert: lack of water.

Israel doesn't need to push for a confrontation. They just have to deal with Iran's proxies and wait for their master to die of thirst.

Bibi outright came to America to speak in Congress against the JCPOA.

Also i see your obvious attempt at portraying criticism of Bibi as anti-semitism.

Okay, so? Obviously Israel has their own interests and it's their right to lobby for them internationally as a sovereign nation, but conservatives were shitting on Obama's deal before it even happened and if you think it took Bibi to persuade them that's grasping at cunt hairs for a conspiracy.

Not to mention there was a reformist president in power at the time with the idea was that rewarding a reformist government by lifting sanctions in exchange for the nuclear deal could put Iran on a path away from confrontation. Bit of a stretch but I think that strategy is preferable to steering into a collision course with Iran.

That's not mutually exclusive to what he argued.

He never mentioned anything about a "nefarious Jewish plot" so no idea where you got that from.

Clearly the implication is that Americans are so stupid all it took was one Jew to persuade them to do something (they were already going to do.)

wonder if this is true

Tbh would not surprise me

Both sides are two 13yo kids that are'nt THAT willing to truly throw hands (Israel act more scrappy because want set a fight where dad America is involved) but both want last word

This need of last word is the tricky part, there's no way one side let other have it and does'nt look like bitch at home

I think anyone or any nation that needs 'the last word' is a bitch.

That goes for both Israel and Iran in this case.

Grow up, fuckers.

Okay, so?
So what? do you support foreign countries for interfering in American domestic affairs?

Obviously Israel has their own interests and it's their right to lobby for them internationally as a sovereign nation, b
Glad to see you accept Israel has no intention of a peaceful resolution with Iran whatsoever, they will push and push until they get the war they want, of course shitting over all its allies who will carry the cost of the war.

They were shitting on Iranian deal because Israel was shitting on it, since before it was even a thing.

If Israel said "We support our allies decisions" instead of throwing a hissy fit about it Republicans wouldn't have a leg to stand on.

Your poor attempts are as transparent as the pro-Russian shills in US congress, Israel hates Iran as much as Iran hates Israel, don't pretend Israel is an innocent victim that got attacked here, as long as they exist Iran has no path outside of pariahdom and Bibi made that crystal-clear back in 2015.

No, the implication is that Israel openly worked against the interests of the collective West, which isn't surprising to say the least, not the first, not the last time.

By one Jew you mean the longest serving Prime Minister of Israel speaking in Congress and actively interfering in American foreign policy interests.

It's too bad they cant find a diplomatic solution. Israel has some of the best desalinization and reclamation technology in the world

Yeah, Israel is so far out there in suggesting that Iran can't be trusted knowing what we know now. lmao

I think you're over estimating the foreign influence Israel exerts, by a lot. The reality is since 2015 with the deal in place, Iran has proven to have funded almost nearly every Shia and even Sunni extremist militias from Tehran to Lebanon.

Israel hates Iran because ever since Sunni extremists stopped funding everyone working toward their demise, Iran has picked up the slack. It's not some irrational hatred. It's been earned.

Also, comparing a single formal public visit to widespread coordinated electronic election interference sponsored by a foreign government is obviously stupid as hell and you know it. Just grasping for more cunt hairs.

I don't think it's inappropriate at all for foreign leaders to publicly visit other countries to lobby for their interests. It's called politics.

I do think it's wrong for foreign governments to use their resources to steal foreign voter data and target specific regions and demographics with ads and news sources to sway election results. Clandestine interference by a foreign government is a much more legitimate concern.

He's really reaching with the antisemitism accusations, embarrassing stuff. This topic really shorts some people's fuses.
