Should UFC re-sign Luke Rockhold?

Branch was only a fresh young 35 when he was re-signed! :p

Really? Damn, he looked at least 45 though 😂

how is this thread not in "the lightweights" but mine always get put there?

He literally got KO'd by a low level rando in his last fight. He sucks now. Rockhold beating him means absolutely nothing.
I can't believe that anyone other than Joe Schilling could attempt to shill the idea that Joe Schilling is still a good fighter lol. His only success in MMA was KOing Manhoef, who has been knocked out at least 15 times through his career. His last MMA fight was him getting knocked out by some can.
In kickboxing, all he's done was get lucky in a bracket and beat an exhausted Artem Levin who had to go through Jason Wilnis the same night before fighting Joe, and it still went to a sudden death round and ended with a tight decision for Schilling. Next time they met, Artem beat the shit out of Schilling during the Last Man standing tournament in a night where Artem had to beat Verlinden and Alex Pereira beforehand.

Fuck Joe Schilling. Here's him "fearing for his life" from that drunk guy knocking him out and what he looks like against a B level fighter, proving he is indeed a C-level fighter.

Jesus that's a terrible idea. he also just got ko'd by mike Perry, he's old, over the hill and he's been very openly critical of dana white. which I think is great, but doesn't translate into an open invite to the ufc. zero chance he gets back in the ufc

I'd like to see a UFC fight headlined by the guy that Conor punched at the bar VS the guy that Joe Schilling punched.

Joe Schilling was an extremely average kickboxer. It isn't worth naming him.

What a fucking knock out. What was insane was a large majority of sherdog virgins were saying joe schilling wasn't an ass hole for knocking that guy out.

Joe is a piece of shit. Always has been.

Silly question

Rockhold is WAY past his prime and not even a draw anymore. Gen-Z probably were little kids when Rockhold was in his prime.

I agree Joe Schillings MMA career was ass, I'm not talking about that. I'm talking about his kick boxing career. Don't get me wrong, I think Joe is a douche and I'm not a fan of the dude but to say he was never good and discredit what he's done just because you don't like him is pretty bias. I agree he sucks now, I'm not saying he doesn't. But to call him C is a little much. He's B at best when Luke didn't look much better than him. The only thing that gave Luke the edge was he doesn't smoke a pack a day and his chin isn't shot. Anyhow, you clearly have a strong hate boner for Joe and I don't blame you, but it's pretty pointless to try and have discussions about something with someone who has extreme bias toward the topic at hand so I'ma just leave it at this. Plus I don't give enough of a shit about Joe to bother wasting anymore time on this shit.

I never said Luke KO'ing Joe meant anything now.

I don’t think it’s ageist to say that 40 yr olds shouldn’t be fighting lol. But he should stay around the sport at least in some capacity. His cringe gives me life.

The real question is, how did he get off on that lawsuit?

Seemed like a pretty blatant escalation on his part.

UFC should have used Luke, Jouban, Jake Shields to market to the gays and womens.

Claimed he "feared for his life" which in a stand your ground state is good enough, as he didn't use unnecessary force. If he GnP'd the guy, he would have been jailed. End of the day, Joe had a better lawyer than the other guy, and drunk moron halfway "lunged" towards Joe, which looked more like a drunk stagger to me, but the court has spoken. We get to watch Schilling get knocked out cold any time he steps in the ring with an actual fighter, so I wish him a long and healthy career.

Karate Combat isn't even kick boxing, it has a different rule set, so him losing to Luke under these rules doesn't make him any less of a kick boxer. I'm not arguing that the dude is as good as he was years ago, I'm arguing the fact that it's fucking stupid that you're trying to say he's a C-level fighter now. Joe might not be as good as he was years ago but to call him a C-level fighter is just retarded as that would literally mean any low level pro can put his lights out, which is just untrue.
He's a c level fighter at best.

Low level pro fighters are c level at best so no that wouldn't mean they all would but factually, a low level pro could absolutely beat him in MMA. He didn't even have a. 500 record and didn't fight a bunch of great fighters..... he lost to at best c level fighters during his prime in MMA.

To act like this guy is above c level for MMA in 2024 is beyond silly
