He got outclassed standing for 5 rounds to where he couldn't do shit offensively. This is a fight at even odds. He looked completely lost standing. So tell me this - do you really think his standup is that far behind JDS's? If so, why in the hell would you bet him? How does this not show something? It's amazing how reactionary you can be with JDS's loss to Overeem, but you aren't here? Lol - it makes no sense.
Gave a nice explanation above on reasons why I bet him, but idk how you can't see the ridiculousness in stating that losing to JDS on the feet proves a point about how bad a guy's stand up is lol we are talking about arguably the best striker in HW history in his best form. I don't know why you keep twisting so much shit too, it wasn't just the Reem fight, and I said that.

Let me ask you this - do you think Rothwell was the right side in that fight? In retrospect, where would you cap that fight?
Oh Lord you wanna ride your high horse now about how Rothwell was square cause JDS had his best showing in years? Blaming someone for taking Rothwell here is a bit much.

My point is that you are taking the 12thman route. I lose a shitload of bets, and I'll gladly say when something was square as hell. I have no idea how you can read so much from other fights and then act like this fight doesn't have significance. Yes, all of these other fights show something, but this one doesn't. Have another hit of the bong.

I bet Ben (and the fight starts round 2 luckily) but I have to say that the smart money was on JDS tonight. Respect to those that bet Junior based on the matchup including Goodfella and others.

Idk what a 12th man route is, but you seem to want to go the route of acting like a know it all cause you won a bet. I don't think there is a sane MMA fan on this planet that would say losing a stand up fight to JDS shows that someone has bad standup, yet this is something you seem to feel strongly about. You want to discredit JDS' brilliant performance, so you can credit yourself for your interpretation of Rothwell being a horrible standup fighter.

Since there wasn't a FOTN, do all FOTN bets on 5 Dimes get refunded? Was there a "no fight awarded fotn" bet"?

The irony of this is hilarious, and it's exactly what hasn't hit you in the face yet. You put so much stock into the result of Overeem/JDS and Overeem/Rothwell. Yet now you are acting as though I'm putting too much stock into JDS/Rothwell. Even during the fight, you thought Rothwell was going to land on JDS with an uppercut as he was going to the body too much. Now all of the sudden, JDS left no holes. I'm not gloating on my play on JDS - everyone knows that I make square plays all of the time and I rarely put a shitload on one fighter. I'm just shocked that you won't admit that Rothwell was a square play. That is seriously some 12thman shit, and you see how he's been absolutely buried for it.

I didn't though. Why are you twisting what I say to make it suffice your point? I went over all of JDS' and Roth's recent fights. You even tried calling me out on Reem vs Bigfoot, as if Reem didn't gas, yet now you are ignoring all of that and saying I put too much stock into two fights? Whatever.

Of course you're putting too much stock into someone losing on the feet to in form JDS. He is arguably the best striker in HW history lol call me crazy, but losing to him on the feet doesn't prove someone has bad striking to me.

You want me to admit it was a square bet, sure. Anytime I lose I consider it square. I know a lot of you guys feel there are times the right call was made if something comes close, and I know thats part of value, but personally unless I win its always square to me. Like I said in the post to MMAGF, I did not see JDS performing so well coming.

Yet a play against "the best striker in HW history" at even odds seems advisable. It's amazing how you are praising JDS when you certainly weren't pre-fight.

And lol at you thinking I'm twisting words. It's the same as when you thought what I was saying postfight was just in retrospect. Exactly what I said post fight is what I said pre-fight - which I showed with the link. My guess is that you are just butthurt because I called you on it a while ago when you acted as though Rothwell had technical standup.

wee, got lucky on FOTN push, as both stanciu-moroz and whiteford-martins kinda sucked

should've gone to blachowicz-pokrajac, but i guess that was fairly poor by FOTN standards. didn't even consider the chance that they'd do 4 potn, happy to get 2 bet cancellations

Again twisting things i'm saying to make it suffice your points. Cmon. You hear what you want to hear, and ignore the rest apparently. Thats a pretty shit way to go about this, but whatever.

Yes, i'm butthurt cause you called me out on Rothwell's stand up and I guess losing to JDS proves someone has shit stand up, right?

This is UFC section shit. I expected more from a grown adult.

Ironically, this is exactly what I'd expect from someone who constantly talks about how high he is and thinks Kanye West is a legend.

I smoke weed when watching UFC. And you judge me for that? Speaks more about you.

Kanye West is a legend lol idk why you keep pointing this out, and again, it speaks more about you and how entitled you are. Do you even listen to rap? Lol

This to me is a classic hype train derailed.

Jds was forgotten about because rothwell has the hot streak.

Nobody wins forever.

I initially leaned rothwell then sherdog actually convinced me to bet jds

At the end of the day I thought rothwell would get it done and feel foolish.

Lucky it was a hedge last fight on the card so in terms of betting parlays it didn't really matter

''legend'' is taking it a bit far since most of his soundscape up until after graduation is very run of the mill, but it would be ignorant to try and downplay the influence his sound on ''mbdtf'' have had on a number of todays recording artists.

and at this point he seems fairly done with music, so i don't see him ever reaching the heights to where he could be considered one, simply because his body of work doesn't support such a stature in any way. that being said my beautiful dark twisted fantasy is easily one of the best hiphop albums in the last 20 years.

Its pretty obvious he doesn't even listen to rap.

All you have to do is a metacritic search to understand how highly regarded Kanye's music is. And if you think its just critic love, his forums are the biggest in the online hip hop community, if i'm not mistaken. Yet someone who clearly isn't a fan of the genre feels so entitled that he wants to laugh at him being considered a legend. I just don't get it.

You have to be pretty fucked up to think a post disagreeing with Kanye West being a legend supports your point of Kanye West being a legend.

Where did I say that? plekz doesn't seem to think Kanye is a legend, did you see me try to refute it somehow? Hes obviously knowledgeable, so he is entitled to his opinion. All i've pointed out is how easy it is to make the assumption you don't even listen to hip hop.

All you have proven is how immature you are. You've had nothing insightful to say about your opinion on this matter, you just act like a child and for no reason want to insinuate my opinion of Kanye'e stature diminishes all of my opinions. Thats laughable, considering Kanye being a legend of hip hop is an opinion shared by most the community, and music critics
