Bellator 152 - Freire-Souza

Why did they even cut souza, the guy went 3-1 in the ufc and had some fun fights

yep, been wondering that since day 1 -- and we're not alone. people were (rightfully) pissed

maxxed souza -115. playing the line, not settling on this play.

small bet on sakara +170.
Same plays for me, but at prices a bit worse. Was hoping Sakara would open a dog, happy to see that

I like a good dog. I put just under 1u on Bellurado at +600. Both guys are very young and undefeated. This will be a close fight I think. If Bellurado can weather the storm early in r1 then he has an okay shot.

gonna wait for fight night, he could climb a lot when juice shrinks

Yeah good call I shoulda waited. Also just finished watching some clips of both guys. Mckee looks really good and Danilo looks meh but I guess thats why thel ine is where it is.

oh yeah my bad I didn't scroll down to see amateur fights. His records shows 5-0 which only includes pro fights.

PS. I have no fucking clue if this will be a close fight....I just always tell myself that when betting a sizable dog :) I am pretty darn sure Mckee wins becuase he looks really smooth and comfortable in there.

exhibition matches in all sports don't mean much, outside of tuf

Aren't amateur fights in MMA essentially un-paid real fights? I see them in King of the Cage all the time on MavTV. Those guys and gals are really fighting and sometimes getting hurt. Exhibition makes it sound like they just playing around to amuse the audience without going 100%.

Think every state is different. In NJ there are no elbows, no ground and pound to the head, and certain submissions are barred. You also used to have to use bigger gloves until a few years ago.

i am on putbull +115 he should be able to get some td's.. i like rogers too but might be better to wait for itd? cant see this one going the distance

Three minute rounds seems the main appreciable difference I see from KOTC fights in Nevada and many other states. They even go five rounds for amateur championship fights and you see people get knocked out cold and caught in all manner of crazy submissions at that level. It's no exhibition.

Not surprised at all Nevada has basically pro rules for amateurs

Fighters treat them as real fights, though they are often grossly unprepared and don't realize it.

I'm on Pitbull and convinced myself to play Rogers. I like his new game of mixing in takedowns.

souza still looks bigger even tho he's the guy coming up in weight

so 5d is showing the bellator fights as starting on their spike TV timeslot, but that would be like 4 am in italy... or later... so i've just been assuming all along that the fights will be saturday night in italy (which would mean saturday morning/early afternoon in the states)
