Bellator 154 - davis vs mo

I have no clue what I want to do on Awad/Cyborg

Played Davis @ -211. He just seems like the better overall fighter at this stage.

He is. But then odds reflect that too. But -211 I agree. Phil **should** win this fight.
Weird...

I favor King Mo in this fight as much as you guys favor Phil Davis.

I assume you guys are expecting Davis' wrestling to be a factor. Prior to the tournament Mo recently won, I would've still favored him; however, after seeing his striking and patience evolve in that tournament, I don't give Davis much of a chance.

Davis/Mo is a weird fight where I can understand the argument for every side. I see how Davis backers think he's the better overall grappler, better cardio, and he also can strike from the outside to win rounds. I can understand Mo backers thinking Davis will have trouble outwrestling and Mo's hands are much better. I'm one of the rare ones that can see a finish as I think Mo's best chance is landing something and I do think Mo has trouble once he gets frustrated so he can be submitted. On the flip side, I can see those who think this will be a boring striking match where neither can impose their wrestling and it likely goes to decision.

I can't imagine putting much money on this fight.

Blasphemy! The only outcome worse than losing a little bit of money is not having action at all!

Lol - I know that feeling. My bets for tonight are completely on a whim.

if you see both sides, how do you not take the 2:1 side? =P

I'm not saying that I weigh each side equally. I think it's a really hard fight to cap honestly. The only play that I even have a slight feel on is the under as I think that's being undervalued. I've seen Mo win fights where he looks absolutely gassed and desperate. Davis can snag a sub in that situation. On the flip side, Mo has shown that he can finish standing. I just have a feeling this fight may see a finish.

Mo/Phil

I could be capping this wrong but as good as Mo looked in Rizin, the level of competition I think had a lot to do with it. Jiri is a solid fighter but Davis is just such a better athlete than those guys and moves so much better. I also think that as good a wrestler as Mo is that his MMA wrestling has regressed some. He reminds in some ways of Hendo (not the extent maybe but to a degree) in that he stands so upright and looks to throw bombs that against another wrestler with solid takedowns he's ripe to be put on his back. His hands and movement did look better in Rizin so maybe he'll surprise me and outwork Phil. But I don't think so.

Bella 154 Risk: 355.50
Mo +210: 100 for 210 / Mo DEC: 100 for 370
awad -185: 92.50 for 50 / awad DEC: 33 for 123.75
picolotti-wood: idk
reger +300: 33 for 99 / fialho
---

think i'm set.

unless they offer piccolotti -3.5, might bet that if they do.

.5u Phil itd +450
.5u Phil sub +680
2u Phil/Jacare
1.5u Awad -165

Did NOT plan on having 3u on Phil but not gonna mess with it. Just hope he gets it done or it'll be a pretty tough L. I just like Phil's style against Mo and I think his wrassling will be more effective than most others do. Gonna say he puts Mo to sleep with the ole gator roll. At least that's what i hope! I don't think Mo will tap if he gets choked, don't know why just doesn't seem like the type to me.

Saad Awad vs Cyborg beginning RIGHT now if anyone forgot.. no spoilers.

EDIT: Woops, meant to post in the UFC PBP thread.

Wow what a terrible stoppage. Why don't you just say you want the guy killed, Herzog, you bum.

Phil looks a lot less shook than he was versus Vader.

First two rounds close. 3rd clearly Phil.
