What's up guys! Cannot wait for this card! Here are my picks coming in:
CODY GARBRANDT : what a fight this could be! An absolute savage 23-year-old Thomas Almeida will bring his violent MT stylings to the cage tonight where he'll want to take another scalp back to Brazil. For all of the brutal strikes the neophyte wields, he has shown himself to be a bit hittable when exchanging strikes in the pocket. Specifically he was getting tuned up by a mediocre Cody Williams four years ago in Legacy Fights before coming to the UFC and then an undersized Brad Pickett put him on his ass with some brilliant pugilistic handiwork. This defensive liability is a major issue and has never clearly been addressed. This is a concern when facing somebody of Cody Garbrandt's stature.
I'm going to lean with the underdog ever so slightly given that he has vicious but technical boxing and a superior wrestling attack in his back pocket should he need it. What's more, Cody has a picture perfect left hook that could very well be the punch to temporarily scramble Mr. Almeida's brain activity and oh while Cody to sink in a choke or polish him off while recovering. Like Lebron and Stipe showed us, there is a little bit of magic left in the old Ohio steel towns. For this and all of the other aforementioned facts, I will side with the native Ohioan to keep people smiling in The Rust Belt.
Renan Barao: either the former top 3 pound for pound king gets the win against a perfect opponent or else we have ourselves a David Louiseau situation here. Cgive me a revitalized "Baron" via submission round two.
Rick Story: Pair of wants promising welterweights who can't stay healthy. Story will out muscle and grind most men at 170 pounds. The way he shut down a prime Thiago Alves has me thinking he can do the same to The Sponge Who has looked increasingly more fragile. Just without my wallet involved.
Vitor Miranda: middling middleweights are going to middle. Poor man's Michael Bisping, Camozzi might eek one out ..but boy will it be ugly if so..Give me the 38-year-old MT master via HHK knockout.
Lorenz Larkin: fight of the night right here! Cannot wait. Too pure bad-zasses going toe-to-toe. Believe the X-Factor is Monsoons size, volume, and leg kicks.
Paul Felder: Dragon is going to throw hot fire at old man Burkman until he polishes the vet off..prolly with that "spinning shit".
Sara McMann: umm..just a guess. Jessica is a better fighter but forward momentum might cost her the ability to stay vertical.
Abel Trujillo: musclebound Neanderthal Trujillo going to give "All Day" his full pie for 1/16th a days work. Will also hand out a free nap.
Alberto Uda: Gritty Brazilian with scrappy mindset has the goods to work Jake over and likely tap him out. Don't forget that pink slip on your way out of the cage Mr. Collier.
Shane Campbell : Shaolin improving with regularity. "New Koch" hasn't been "Koch Classic" for a long time and is fittin' to get hustled here.
Aljamain Sterling: More athletic, more versatile "Funk Master" too much for Mrs. Tate" AKA "the poor man's Jake Shields".
Adam Milstead : CDLR is going to get put in a box most likely.
...
Up 80 units the last 60 days so hopefully tonight will be another great event. Good luck to all my boys in here.
