UFN 91 pbp/etc

2nd best night this year. +26units, mainly because 2/2 parlays hit and Daniel Omi SU @ 3.25 between rounds. Loving those Bet365 LB lines :)

Up just under 5 units on the day. Could have been a lot more had oleinik not killed me. Also got scared off by the movement on McDonald. Anyone think that bisping picking him to win may have helped sway the odds? Lol

How you feeling sham?! I managed to get 4.5 hours sleep before I went to work so feel ok now..

If you have seen any of Lineker's fights you know you dont put your back against the cage and brawl with the little dude. That is up there with Zigano/Rousey game planning.

I can't tell whether it's just an insanely low fight IQ for a lot of MMA fighters, their head going after they get hit by him and then panicking and resorting to the brawl or what. Lineker is great at what he does, but I don't know where to put the success in that solely down to his ability to pressure fighters to get their back against the cage and trap them to create these exchanges or poor fight IQ. Most fighters he's faced are quite a bit bigger than him and have a good few inches of reach advantage on him, which is exacerbated given that Lineker only really throws hooks. There seems a clear gameplan to potentially beat him on the feet which is footwork and throwing straight punches. Everybody just engages him in a phone booth brawl though and I can't understand it. It's got to be a mix of adrenaline and not listening to their corners because they should be spending the entirety of their camp on avoiding those exchanges. If you're not going to try and plant him on his back and want to stand with him, make use of angles and throwing jabs and straight rights and if you find yourself with your back against the cage giving him a chance to plant himself and unload a flurry, don't get involved and cut a corner to get out of there. Alternatively clinch with him if you can't get out of there and try to plant him on his back where he's nowhere near as good.

Not knocking Lineker because he's looked great, but like I said I can't work out how much of that is due to poor fight IQ of his opponents/possibly their camp. It could be that macho thing you get in MMA where people engage to try to beat their opponent at their own game and show their tougher or what, but it's not smart.

If Lineker gets a fight against Dillashaw or Cruz it'll be interesting to see what the odds are because I'd be all over both of them. Neither of them (Cruz especially) will let themselves get stuck against the cage for too long and I don't think either would just engage in the brawl.

Crazy card really was actually more fun then the other cards

That second gif reminds me of the Wilkinson/Backstrom finish a bit, only Vannata attempting the front kick to the body and not getting sparked out by the punch. Still, can't understand why he left his hands so low while throwing it so lazily. Assume he was just too knackered to keep his hands up but come on, you can't have that much disdain on the feet for someone at this level, especially when they're as good and creative on the feet as Ferguson.

I think it's easier said than done. The perfect example of that would be McCall. He had a lot of trouble fighting a clean fight with him of sticking and moving. Lineker makes that space smaller and smaller. Don't get me wrong, it can be done, but you have to have that style where you implement it constantly. Dillashaw or Cruz beat him very easily IMO.

Up 4.5 units solid card. Would have been more had I not been to drunk to bet on Nak before his fight after doing well early haha.

Upping unit size here on out.

Mcdonald does not have great movement the only people who will beat lineker are either a really strong wrestler or people with great movement ala cruz and tj.

Crazy event last night wtf were 365 doing on some fights. More Wed cards pls if they leave the rookie in charge!

My big regret is not going huge on smolka between r1 and r2 to win itd @ +210. I put a unit down but should have done 10 units the line should have been -500. Chook the dog whole fight was also crazy! The HW fight as well i got Daniel mid r2 @ +250!

Oh lol I've just got back, felt the same but still a good workout.
Cool I went there earlier in the year to watch Bisping/silva. Loved it but god damn it was long.. Got there 4.30 and left 11.30.

Went to gouchos before hand and had the best steak I've ever had.. Book up if you can it's well worth it.

Worth it though. That said, even after leaving the o2 it was another 40 minutes before we managed to get on the tube, given how heaving it was getting out.

Lol tell me about it, it was a fucking stampede to the tube! Never seen anything like it.
I thought I'd get a taxi instead but the queue for that was insane so ended up back at the tube.. Was amazing though and loved it as my first live event

I agree with TJ and Cruz being able to stay composed and avoid being baited into having a rock 'em knock 'em robots battle. Nick Diaz was able to implement a similar plan as Lineker but with sheer calculated volume strikes instead of haymakers. Condit stuck to the game plan and avoided being backed up against the cage like if it was on fire and avoided long exchanges with Nick. In my opinion fighters who can stick to their game plan regardless whether they are rocked or booed by the crowd are the ones who usually become winners (GSP). It might not be exciting all the time but these guys fight smart and usually succeed.
