odds are up on betvictor but those fucks have me limited to £200 for parlays.

Like Gastelum and Cub at dog odds. Much prefer Cub tbh though.

EDIT: Just saw Brown/Cerrone U2.5 at EVS, liking that a lot also

Am I going to be the only one on Pettis?

Pettis needs a finish IMO, he isn't a consistent round winner.

Maybe. He struggles most with imposing forward pressure though. Holloway is a complete fighter now, but he fights on the outside a lot at kicking range despite not being a kicker. I think Pettis is being underrated here.

I'll probably be on him as well. Although I do agree with vkram that he most likely needs a finish. I'm interested to see his NSC line, I think it's very unlikely that Holloway finishes him.

swanson at +200 c'mon man that's crazy. i'm gonna smash.

Holloway fights that way when it makes sense, but he's more than happy to press forward and force his way into the pocket when that makes sense. You'd THINK his camp would be focused on that. If he spends a round or more on the outside and isn't having a ton of success I'll be waiting to live bet Pettis for sure. But it's hard for me to believe Max won't use more forward pressure than he has against some other guys. He tends to adapt pretty well to his opponent.

physically, pettis has not looked the same since that beatdown from juiced rda. i also don't think that big weight cut to 145 is helping his athleticism. he didn't look sharp against do bronx.

stylistically i don't know what to make of this matchup but i have a hard time seeing pettis beat elite level competition nowadays.

Max has done an amazing job last two fights of controlling the octagon, and Pettis has always had problems putting his back to the cage as is. Even at range in the center Max will piece Anthony up. His boxing is so much cleaner and Pettis is not very good defensively. Max is going to crush him

I won't be surprised if Max wins but I will be surprised if he dominates. Pettis is going to be a major step up in competition IMO. Outside of Barboza all of Pettis's UFC losses have been to guys who took him down repeatedly, something Max isn't going to do. Max may be able to outpoint him with his volume, but Max has a tendency to get wreckless, i.e. banging it out with Lamas in a fight he was clearly winning. My biggest concern with Pettis is going to be his cardio if it gets to round 4/5. He gassed out a bit against Oliviera but he did expend a lot of energy going for the finish in the first and there was a lot more grappling than I expect to see here. Great fight, which I think can go either way so I'll probably have to take Pettis at dog odds.

Look at what Hollaway did to Lamas... he had him backed up in the same way Pettis was vs. Dos Anjos most of their fight.

I agree with the consensus that Pettis needs a finish.

I don't think Holloway will be able to keep Pettis back against the cage/backing up as much as you guys are implying.

RDA is a powerhouse, and was throwing serious heat at Pettis (especially the kicks) which had him on the fence. Alvarez walled Pettis by throwing hands & then latching on to a clinch.

I would want to go with Pettis, but am weary to trust him to fight with a good game plan. I'd like to see him chop at Max's legs more then he normally does & throw some combos. He has generally not kicked the legs or done more then single strikes though. I would be curious to see if Pettis try's to get Holloway to the ground. I think he would have success, but Max does have a good guilotine that he hunts have to watch out for that.

Feel square as hell but I love so many favourites this weekend, did a 6 man rr parlay for 15 units, effectively staking 5 units on each fighter. Lewis, Ngannou, Anderson, Cerrone, Holloway, and Choi.

Wish I waited for the Ortiz/Zak over to add to it
