UFC 207 PBP/discussion

That 27k parlay was incredible. Amazing picks there there JB.

I also feel like a fucking moron for going with Thatch and not using Price more with the line movement.

I think ur being too harsh on yourself. Come on... Price looked like brian camozzi 2.0 on tape (it means bad) Looked like a tailor made match up for Thatch. he was a purple belt before this fight. but we had no reason to believe price gets this fight on the ground. His takedowns didnt look good on tape. on paper thatch had a significant advantage on the feet too.

I dont. Why would you bet on thatch coming off three losses with a terrible ground game against someone we knew hardly anything about. Not being a dick but no way id bet on someone like that

yeah in hindsight its smart to say that captain obvious but as i said price looked like brian camozzi 2.0 on tape. And thatch was submitted by fucking Benson hendo and GUNNI NELSON. Barazurada submitted him too be is also a strong wrestler. Price had just 1 sub in his record and looked primary a striker. there was a reason to think he isnt good on the ground

The thing is that Price looked pretty poor on the ground too honestly. The one advantage that he had was understanding on holding position. Thatch was able to muscle out a kimura but never understood to just use that to either get up or get a better position. His ground game is obviously not there, but he could honestly be UFC level if he just had a shred of fight IQ.

Hindsight has nothing to do with it. Barely any tape on price, thatch ground game sucks complete unknown commodity in price. For me thats like flipping a coin.

I dont bet against people making their ufc debut generally. So many have looked much better once in the ufc (some worse granted). Complete no bets for me

Tito bet $50k on Nunes? Nice win for him wow.

wow 3mil for a 1 minute beatdown

and crazy freaking Price gets paid almost the same as Borg

I feel worse now that I know Tito Ortiz is a better MMA handicapper than I am, lol.

yeah i bet he also backed eddie alvarez on some fuck the ufc shit, but just didn't post the ticket.

This makes me want to bet him. What's Chael's training like?

He's putting on those grappling competitions (the one that just had Jones vs Hendo and Meisha vs Eye) and obviously likes to make the rounds giving commentary and interviews and stuff.

That said, may IDK about betting Tito. Yeah he looks in shape, but that guy (and Chael also to be fair) has had so many back issues and surgeries, he's up there in age, etc. His general path to victory these days is takedowns and winning rounds with top position. But is he gonna be able to do that against a better wrestler than he is? I think the odds here are actually kinda on point. Chael a slight favorite is how I cap it. I think I like the o2.5 at -190 better. I think we're gonna see one guy laying on the other most of the fight. Might be a different guy in certain rounds, but once one guy gets a TD it's hard to see him finishing but it's also hard to envision the other guy getting up.

A bit late on this but nonetheless another great UFC for Richie. Live betting is where the money is @Richieknowsufc
