And two judges gave Lauzon round 2. FML

where held has his back for 2-3 minutes.. and then each guy had a takedown.. but held controlled lauzon on his but lauzon didn't.

fucking idiots.

Where are all the "BJ had value" guys at? LMFAO @ you all @AffectEffect @NinjaCat456

Lol I'll accept that, BJ looked horrible. No harm in having a little nibble at a +350 underdog.

I could sense it coming reading the BJ Penn value bet discussion. I actually like his analysis and sense of humour, but he gets himself in trouble by not being willing to walk away from an argument.

Odds that he's back by the end of the week?
Already happened. According to Ez he was the DanH83 guy in this thread....and got banned after 12 posts lol.

He doesn't lack persistence does Robbie.

he's gone for good. and our Monday morning discussions are already more pleasant.

Changed your tune ;)
I think he had a very valid point about others doing the same, if not worse, than what he was doing but getting away with it. And I still think those who are irritated with him should "ignore" him rather that calling for his head. But he can't keep his emotions in check. I wish he would Bc unlike most of those who constantly whine about him, he had great input on fights. Nothing worse than having some lurker who doesn't contribute anything come in here and be critical. Beggars can't be choosers imo

Devils advocate here....From my understanding the new rules favour damage and the potential for ending the fight. There will be less emphasis on merely holding a dominant position.

Having said that, I can see judges giving Lauzon rounds 1 and 2. Lauzon nearly finished the fight via elbows in r1. And then in the controversial round 2 Lauzon nearly finished the fight with the armbar from bottom. I can see judges (under the new system) giving round 2 to Lauzon based on him nearly finishing the fight in r2 whereas Held just retained position.

Most importantly Held never had Lauzon in a position where he was anywhere near finishing him.

I am not making an argument for Lauzon don't misunderstand me. I am simply trying to understand this new reality we are living in.

his reasoning for his picks made sense more often than not.

because of this, i had no problem with the guy whatsoever

This this this. And yet some guy who doesn't even contribute to the thread has the audacity to beg for him to get banned Bc he got called out on his parlays and his value talk. Whatever, life goes on.

I ended up making drive to Vegas to place some quick parlays.

I probably shouldn't have won this I got lucky cuz Lauzon should've lost but it's about time I get a bad decision my way lol but yeah Held did his thing. Lauzon looked old and gassed too fast. That damage over the years definitely caught up to him and puts him into a veterans category.

I skipped all the heavy set guys and focused on hitting overs on the smaller weight fighters.

Anyways time to cash this out and bark at some hoes :p

Well done, again, Jesus Christ.

Very real possibility that they confused the red and blue corner because of the shorts color. Hard to explain it another way. It's that, or we are entering a period of complete uncertainty w the score cards. Pretty terrifying thought...

Funny nuff you kinda changed my mind on switching to the o2.5 instead of Saenz.

Cheers.

That's the difference between a sharp and the squares. The ability to entertain multiple thoughts at once, and make adjustments on changing data/prices/etc.

Glad to help. Keep on showing these dudes how it's done.

I like the idea someone suggested itt of rotating the judges throughout the night to keep them sharp. They've got to sit cageside scoring fights for what...5-6 hours? Presumably they're not betting/drinking as much as we are watching it all unfold, must be difficult for them to hold their concentration that long.

I actually think this probably happened.

I could only imagine if I had thousands on Held. I'd be in my car driving to the judges residence as we speak
