Any thoughts on FOTN?

Would they give it to that Shogun/Gian slopfest? Probably, sigh...

I have Soto/Rani at +2000 and Formiga/Borg at +600 but of course it will probably be Shogun/Gian since it was a sloppy brawl.

What are you even talking about. Dont tail people if you cant handle a loss. Noone is selling bets here.

I didn't tail anyone. Like i said above, I think the posters who relentlessly side with a specific fighter and argue to the bitter end that they are right are a problem. That is not how this community is supposed to operate imo.

I feel sad, it seem the line are really sharp or line getting sharper now. Only line is out is Cowboy vs Means because of the 1st fight.

I hear you. But if those people actually believe what they are saying then I have no problem with it.

I do. I have a problem with anyone who refuses to see the other side of a compelling argument. I think that approach is detrimental to all of us in this forum. We are trying to benefit from each other to make the most educated bets we can. If we have contributors who are constantly pushing one side and ignoring reasonable opposition that hurts all of us.

no. that is not value, You capping using hindsight

My point is I think there is a lot of value in the lines we get. I was huge on Kelvin and under. I believe there was value in both and those lines were way off. "Value" is all about your perception. I am sorry you had a tough time with these particular lines, I hope you have an easier time on the next card. I disagree that they are getting a lot tougher. Parhaps they are getting slightly tougher, obviously oddsmakers should improve over time. I just do not think they are getting significantly better from card to card or even month to month.

It's not that. I really think it is important. These guys come in to the thread and post with the utmost confidence in certain fighters. They argue every single dissenting opinion until the other person gives up the argument. I think as a community we want to acknowledge the problems with this approach and the people who promote it.
We all know who those people are and when you've been around here long enough you'll learn not to take gimmicks and user titles and shit so seriously. 'That type' of poster will always be here. Not trying to be condescending, just take those guys with a grain of salt

IM STILL NUMBER ONE BETTOR I DONT GIVE A FOOOOOOOOOK!!!!!!!!!!! fucking judges can kiss my ass cunts!

If they've done their research and are presenting WHY they are backing said fighter, not sure what the issue is.

You are kind of being confusing in asking for "accountability" and then turning around and complaining about someone who's right out in front telling everyone here who they are betting on. The accountability is built in.

I was absolutely HUGE on Ferg vs Khabib. I posted all the reasons why, repeatedly. A lot of my action was actually NOT Khabib itd and I posted the reasons why for those bets. If Khabib liked dessert a bit less, I'm confident I'd have added to my BR.

BUT....

...had Khabib come out and finished Ferg, all my posts would still be there. The "accountability" is that I made my bets clear prior to the event. If I'm wrong, everyone has read my rationale for my bets. If I say "Khabib doesn't do damage to good guard players" and then he goes out and smashes someone like Ferg, I've put my view out there prior to the fight.

I guess I'm not sure the issue you have.

I suppose. The problem is a lot of these posters are perceived to be some of the biggest winners, and because of this their opinions are given more weight. If you want to argue that the individual is entirely responsible for finding the best information and if they listen to someone who is blindly pushing a specific fighter that is their fault then I won't argue with you. I am all for personal responsibility. I just think as a community this sort of approach from some of the most frequent posters hurts all of us.

Yeah I got kill tonite. oddsmaker got nothing to do with it, even if the line is way off they barely lose due to small limit on open line. It is mma bettor is getting better, they are better at shaping the line. It is good you see value for u1.5 on Vitor fight but the public bet the line down on the over. The only time I see value is if you bet the dog that finish the fight or win 30-27. Decision is mostly luck, I do not understand why people pat them self on the back when they won a close decision.

Not if you watch the fights yourself. If I post "Fighter x tries to force scrambles too often and gives up top position and gives away rounds too much because of it" and then you watch a bunch of his fights and I'm just way wrong, you come in here and say "I just watched vs fighter, x, y, z and he didn't do that at all, what are you talking about?"

You gotta look at tape yourself for sure. You can take stuff you see here and figure out if it's legit or not, but if you don't don your own homework there's no point.
