I almost make over 18g in 1 fight. I have 5g+ on Robbie Lawler vs Johny Hendricks 1st fight. The odd is ridiculous since Johny looks dead making weight in last second when he miss weight in first attempt. The odd is +340 for Robbie.

The fight after 4 round is 2-2, the the devastated left hook from Hendricks in 5th round, than Hendricks wet blanket him tail end of the round. Now I just bet peanut after that crushing defeat...lol. 23g+ swing ....ouch, ouch.

Damn that sucks dude...

what's the highest you've bet since then?

excuse me pal, but if you were able to turn 18K into 128K you prove that you can make a living off Sports betting. lol.
I wish this were true. Just because I had an edge in the past doesn't mean I will have it in the future. And it would be easy to fuck up and lose it all by becoming arrogant. Basically it's a minefield out there and that's one of the reasons for @Oblivian 's very reasonable advice.

Do you ever get concerned that these off shore books will close up shop? 128 K is the most I've heard anyone keep in accounts....even on SBR.

Hypothetically, if I were keeping that much offshore, it would totally depend on which books I kept it with. For example I trust Pinnacle almost as much as an FDIC insured bank. If I had it with BigNutzz or BlackBananaCasino (real books, both F-rated on SBR), I would be in a constant state of panic.

This is true. Look what happened with poker which has been solved. Later on lines will be juiced AF like in boxing. Then what you gonna do?

I don't think lines will ever be as juiced as they are in boxing. MMA has far more variables than a boxing match. You would make a lot of money in MMA betting on massive dogs if odds were like they are in boxing. Hopefully MMA doesn't go the padded record route either.

The boys in the boxing betting thread constantly hitting heavy dogs, so always money to be made.

And as @Sham5916910 intimated, no way lines will ever get that juiced unless they start hitting the padded route.

My unit is $100 or $250 depending how confidence I feel on that card. Than I pick 2 matches I feel most confident in and I bet anywhere from $500 to 1g.

I was making $500 to 1g in good days with basic poker knowledge. If I improve my skill the sky is the limit, and of course I have improve my poker skill drastically. Now I can not beat 25 nl.....lol.

yeah, one have to be super careful. I am waiting 7g from a sbr c- books for over 2 months now. I lost a bit so maybe a bit over 6g in my balance, hope they let me cash out. Never ever deposit on B- booker or lower and make sure they been around over 20yrs. So far I trust my $$$ on PInnacle, Betonline, 5dimes, the Greeks, Sia, William Hill. All those site payout like clock work. Other site give you the run around if you cash out big. They basically free-roll their client, you could lose it all or they don't pay out if you hit a super parlay.

Between r2 and r3 mike brown told him to stop going for td's...

Ok...thx Sham... I had to go back and listen. What a terrible terrible terrible terrible advice in hindsight. Only reminiscent of Misha Tate to Caraway in Japan against Mizugaki telling him "coast this round". Lol

I've never understood why that in 2017 where there are fighters who can have the absolute best corner + coaching on the planet and fight at a A-level camp aabstain from this possibility.

With fighters having access to coaches who do nothing but break-down film and game-plan for the opposition choose to attend smalltime gyms or bring in sparring partners to help them in their corner.. you don't see this in any other sport besides mixed martial arts.

Iunderstand that this was how it was as the sport started out because your sparring partner and teammates were basically the best available to help you in between rounds and prepare for the upcoming fight. But this is not the case anymore.

As we have evolved there are now options .. never would you see Floyd or Manny or Canelo or Cotto or GGG being cornered by a fucking sparring partner lol. But in MMA this is commonplace practice.

Dude that sucks...

I one time put in for a withdrawal with Sportsbook.com...

only $1500. after reading all of the horror stories, delays...etc...I pretty much thought this money was gone. Sportsbook.com did do the stalling tactics.

They wanted another copy of my drivers license and proof that I lived at an address.

it took about 2 weeks but I finally got my check.

When I deposited, I really expected it to bounce. LOL.

Thankfully it all worked out.

I'm solely with 5dimes now.
