I've been chewing the co main over hard the last couple of weeks

Gegard is literally my favourite fighter in the UFC but you know what I like more is money, and I'm not seeing why everyone's so huge on Gegard..

All I hear is, he's on a four fight win streak... Uriah hall, leites, vitor and santos..

Now I'm usually the first to criticise Chris's history of 'off the sauce' Brazilians but on a serious..

What's Moose's biggest win?

I get caught up with Moose because he's a badass, he fights Latifi on one leg, Mark hunt? Not one fuck given, a young huge OSP? Sure let's go

But the fact remains that whenever he fights an elite middleweight.. he loses, Machida and Jacare easily handled him

His biggest win is Vitor (rank wise)

But that's the same Vitor that Chris exterminated 2 years ago and faster

Style wise Weidman will be the best wrestler Moose has probably ever faced at 185, and sure Moose will stuff the odd takedown but you know what I'm ok with that,

This is not Ryan Bader vs Rumble here guys, where it's takedown or shit your pants,

If Chris misses a takedown he will give up and probably eat a couple jabs and try again,

It's not as if Moose is a one punch killer,

'But but but Chris is on the downside of his career! He's lost 2 In a row'

Lost two in a row against two top 3 SAVAGES, both of whom he took down, and took two rounds off, the biggest concern of mine is that KO from Yoel is the kinda shit that puts people in wheelchairs, but it's also that kinda stuff you have to do to put Chris away, he's an absolute animal, did anyone really expect him to come out for the 4th with Luke after that beatdown?

I fully expect this fight to be a bloodbath, because Gegard is just a nightmare even off his back but I like Chris to win a decision due to octagon control and takedowns,

I honestly see Weidman baiting Moose to let his hands go a little catching a takedown once a round and winning a split or unanimous decision

Probably a majority considering we're in New York

I think you mean unanimous, not majority, since majority means that one judge scored it a draw. But yeah, I agree with most of your points. It's a little too close for comfort for me to bet on this fight, but my call is Weidman by tight decision too.

Edited to unanimous was typing in a rush
Thanks mate

Not getting all the love for not Brooks ITD. I get he hasn't looked great and isn't a known finisher, but Olives wilts, plain and simple. Yeah he showed some heart vs Pettis, but the pattern is there.

i'm looking at things of that angle, but man, oliveira can be broken.. he's only ever been to two decisions in a long ufc career

(i'm aware brooks isn't a finisher, i've seen just about all of his fights since dream / bella / ufc etc)

It just never looks like Brooks is even TRYING to finish.

Jack Slack - http://fightland.vice.com/blog/the-tactical-guide-to-rumble-vs-cormier

For Daniel Cormier, the plan from the first fight—if indeed it was a plan—could suffice if Rumble turns up looking to take his head off as quickly as possible. Dive through the openings, stick to Johnson and make him work consistently rather than straining for one big takedown attempt and feeling disheartened. Johnson proved last time that there are only so many times he can swing with his full weight, drag himself back from the floor, and muscle off the takedown attempts of the much more nuanced and economical wrestler.

Outcomes I feel good about:

Cyn Sub
Emmet Dec
GG Dec
Cummins Dec
Usman Dec
Mago Sub/Dec
Burgos KO/Dec
Brooks (even though I did hit Olives +320 for value)

Other leans: Cormier Sub, Moose Dec, Aldana KO/Dec, Alves Dec, Jury ITD

Theres no pattern. He never came close to quitting vs Pettis. Good luck eating that punch from Cub Swanson any better than he did.

This is why Not Brooks itd is so reasonably priced. This is the most ridiculous misconception. How is Brooks gonna finish him? All that hugging is gonna make Olive just throw in the towel? Dont think so

Had to play Aldana dec +305. Should be a close fight, I like this line. Hopefully forward pressure and cutting off the cage works well enough to eke this one out

He clearly wasn't out tho and it appeared he made a choice to quit fighting. I am not disputing it wasn't an absolute bomb from Cub, but it didn't put him out, he turtled. Esophogas injury vs Holloway, getting tapped as soon as Lamas turned the tide, etc. I see a pattern, if you do not, then by all means that is a justifiable line. I have a differing opinion, obviously.

Like that line, already hit her ML +155 for 1.5u. She does have power so could finish, but may sprinkle that decision line too.

It's WMMA , the fight will go over 2.5 rounds for sure
Calvillo has better chances to finish her fight than Aldana
Yeah, and calvillos itd line is +180 compared to aldanas +525 so the bookies agree. Which line has the best value though?

Its like @Joseph Budden said. It's way less about Olive than it is about Brooks. Brooks doesn't even look to finish.

I get it and thats understandable, I would rather play a ML with a fighter I feel confident about, say Burgos or Emmett. For me its all about Olives. I think he will lose and he often gets finished in his losses.

Also think Brooks will be looking to make a statement since his UFC performances thus far haven't been what is expected.

I used to have that suspicion with Oliveira, but a few things changed my mind. He handled Stephens well when people thought Stephens would put him away. He came back strong for a finish in the 3rd against Lentz, a guy who can break you. He also showed a lot of heart against Pettis.

Hmm I think Aldana's fight goes to decisión so I wouldn't bet Aldana ITD
