UFN 108 - PBP/Discussion

@MMA Gambling Expert disappeared because he went 0-2 tonight. I guess "never meet your heroes" is true. Disappointed.

Would like a personal apology from you and to be named the most elite bettor during this break.

You said Al Iaquinta wouldn't KO Diego because Diego had only been stopped once, but stats don't mean shit in this fight the decline in his chin was clear to expert bettors. Also acted like the layoff will matter in this particular fight. Not elite reasoning at all sorry.

Up about 5.55 units. I mentioned that the main event was going to go just like that in the pre-fight thread. But I post sparingly lately and I'm not hashtag #elite so I am sure no one listened, lol.

same. I say this a lot but their's some crazy bankroll management in here at times, the risk some take are insane to me. I never go higher than 5% unless it's for line movement or a line that only comes around every couple years.
I Rarely even go to 3 units unless im really confident, im definitely conservative & very aware that no matter how confident I am, anything can happen

Great job bro.

Sure alot of people do listen, notice your posts mostly from boxing thread, very aware of who gives good advice, nothing wrong with being quieter

next event may 13 in 3 weeks and you fucked my brains like that? thats so fucking gross. i won't be posting for a while anymore.. getting everything right but one piece of the puzzle everytime. smolka gets subd, pickettgets ko'd, cub cant put away 14-14 fighter, robberies etc. disgusting.

Need to learn a lesson here man, anything can happen, this isnt just a weird year, unexpected things will continue to happen, nothing is a sure thing

almost no MMA until ufc 211.. two entire weekends off... no one do anything dumb...

Feel like people here bankroll different to me, to me 1 unit is 1% of my bankroll, and some people losing 10+ units on 1 fight? Hopefully they bankroll differently!
They're probably casuals and not worried about losing they bankroll. Atleast I hope so. I wouldnt take seriously anyone who has over 5u relying on a single fight. My absolute maximum is 2.5u which I've only bet this year on two or three occasions, including that ridicilous over tonight.

Very similar to myself, I had 5u on Mikey Garcia to beat zlatcanin but that was last time I had more than 3 units on anything and that was a few months back

Tonight is my first real L this year, I had a couple other losing events but they were barely losses. But I can actually find a positive from this. I've been absolutely destroying my books this year so I'm happy to lose, it helps the longevity of my accounts, beat your bookie too bad and they ban you.

I'll take my L like a man and come back stronger like I always do. I thought Schnell and Ellenberger were solid plays but they turned out not to be, but my biggest regret is not playing Moreno. I'm winning over 60% and I'm hitting dogs, as long as you win more than you lose, that's all that matter.

I'm an experienced bettor now, in the past when I would take L's, I'd feel like throwing up because these bums make me so sick but now I'm on a totally different level mentally, didn't even break a sweat.

I doubted you CK and you proved me wrong, well done, you should be proud, you made a solid play. Still if you want to be acknowledged as an elite bettor than you must post a winning underdog pick that is at least +200, then no one can deny you.

I'm still hot. My dogs got crushed but OSP came through for me, and that's the fight I put the most on.

bound to happen eventually for everyone, be careful not to make any rash bets after a losing event, always the temptation to chase, make abnormal bets.

It's a bit of a misconception that the bookies will ban you if you continue to win on their site, they hedge all of the bets they take anyway so it's mainly due to the odds you take and how it cuts into their profit margin, the better value odds you take consistently, the quicker they will ban you, as for all they know you could be arbing those prices. a losing night certainly can't hurt though a lot of the time. I try to split up bets that have good lines among as many bookies as I can to minimise risk, but that ship has long since sailed for most of my bookies accounts.

Worst event in a while, down 4-5 U thanks to being too big on guys I didn't really believe in but hoped would win.

I'm still think De Lima at 2.50 was a good bet, and the over [email protected] was what, 10 seconds away?

I should really listen more to my gut feeling and I knew Perry and Iaquinta would get the KO, but played the other side cause off the odds.

It so hard to not play the underdog when the odds are too wide, but I guess I'll just have to learn my lesson.

.

I'm in the same boat, although I had a good night I wanted to put a lot more on iaquinta ko, but the disparity in the odds and all the big upsets that happen put me off putting more on it. I know I'm guilty of over-analysing strong initial leans I have for fights, and it definitely cuts into my profit. I hedge too much because the opportunity is there to freeroll or reduce risk significantly, but knowing when to hedge is a hard skill to master.
