Printing money straight into the trash can.

Joshua may have been a bit over juiced, but betting on a fading 41 year old coming off a long lay off is stupid.

Joshua was ahead on two score cards before the KO.

Was a pretty decent size underdog and came very close to the KO, value was definitely with Klit

Value this, value that. So pretentious. Value is determined after the result has played out.

If you'd all stop it with your pretentious betting-terms, that'd be great.

I was maybe the first in here to say I thought Joshua would roll him. And I had him in some parlays. But I was absolutely wrong! The value was on Klit. U have to suck it up and admit when u were off even when u win

A -240 dude should not be fighting life n death with his opponent

I'm so bitter I didn't add to Josh at 2.65 in the ninth, that's was so much value there.

Probably gonna carry on with my pretentious betting terms in this betting forum

Err no, the value is determined beforehand.

had half a unit on AJ decision at the end of the 6th at 28/1, shoulda hedged as the fight went on but was out in town watching it and got carried away

If the bet doesn't hit, was it really value? No.

A -400 favorite is value if it hits and you're not a pussy who bets absolute pennies.

This word does not mean what you think it means...

80% chance to win, risk $1 to gain $0.25, low risk but poor value.

Betting for long term profit is about more than each individual bet, nobody gonna hit 100%

The idea is you choose bets with good value, I.e they would hit often enough to make you money over the long term.

So if something is evens and you think it would hit 6/10 it's good value.

Depends on the bet but in general bettin large amounts on -400 favourites is a good way to lose money

Blame a moderator in this case for merging in a bunch of dumb posts and arguments and the people that made them from a separate Joshua vs Klitschko thread into our normally awesome boxing betting thread. I rarely post in the UFC betting threads any more because I can't hardly stand the stupidity, nonsense and vile personalities. I hope it doesn't happen here too.

Aye, love the boxing thread.
Genuinely helps me make more money which is the main reason we're all here, the UFC thread while still helpful, is often about trying to get people to agree with your pick

Use the "IGNORE" function. It makes scanning through the thread much more pleasant. I have a few people on ignore and it works great. It would be a shame to lose your input in the MMA/UFC section.

Yeah Klitschko at + odds was definitely the right side. +220 was printing money.
The right side is the winning side. Granted Wlad was doing much better than expected in the fight, but he was behind on two of the official scorecards going into the 11th so barring a late KO he was unlikely to win. There'd have been value at closer to +400.

The judging was hometown corruption. Wlad was winning that fight and im a londoner.
