Had my finger on the trigger with Manny at +200 after the head butts. Glad I left it alone. I'm learning to factor in what the judges might be cooking up when live betting.

Teddy Atlas and Stephen A. Smith still going off about the robbery and how corrupt boxing judges are now over an hour after the fight ended on ESPN.

Fuck broke even after rolling my winnings on to pac im never getting greedy again

Last one. Judge 1 is an idiot.

3u Okolie R1 @ 2.62 +4.86
3u Pacquiao-Horn goes to distance @ 1.90 +2.7
3u Povetkin KO @ 1.66 -3
2u Cheeseman dec @ 2.05 -2
2u Ancajas dec @ 4.33 -2
2u Toussaint @ 1.57 +1.14
1u Dames @ 2.1 +1.1
0.4u Okolie R1 + Cheeseman dec + Ancajas dec + Povetkin KO + Pac goes to distance @ 42 -0.4

Overall +2.4u ,not a bad night, but it could have been a lot better without misfortune in Ancajas and Povetkin bouts.

Murray, nadal and federer winning Wimbledon

You can put this in the boxing thread, doesn't really warrant a separate topic.

I don't think Atlas said one positive thing about Horn the entire fight, he even started making excuses for Pac in the middle rounds. Atrocious commentary.

Murray, nadal and federer winning Wimbledon

this is completely incorrect, all are lower priced to win wimbledon than mcgregor is to beat FM. murray and fed are nearly 50% more likely, where are you getting your info from oO

Federer is the favorite. The actual odds bookies are giving him is half that of what they are giving for Conor to win.

But who knows what the real odds are.

those could be top rank punch stats and not compubox

i trust compuboxpunch stats to be impartial, obvioulsy top rank, not so much

edit, those punch stats are from compubox twitter.

if you take away the cuts form the headbuts paq was pretty much untouched

horn was pretty bruised up

Bookmakers want your money. Enough said.

The lesson here for me is that if the fight is close or back & forth or even in someone's home country with a supportive crowd and likely going to a decision that one has to hedge live if at all possible on fighter B at + money if you are heavy on fighter A just in case there is a controversial decision or "robbery" like this. I think Horn was like +450 or better at one point in the later rounds on 5Dimes, which had a rare live line for a boxing match, and similar elsewhere.

the line jumped taht high when the ref told horns corner that he was thinking about stopping the fight. prior to round nine horn was a -350 and paq +250

Looking over Mayweathers careeer has he ever went to a decision with a non-hispanic, non-Asian, non-black man, white guy?

Think he finished every white guy he's fought as a pro. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Pac was -800 after round 5. I think horn was better than +450.

I don't think it was a horrible play Jim. Manny really declined a lot just since November against Vargas which was surprising because he had been declining at a fairly slow pace. And Horn looked better than he ever had before.

Even as it was I think 7-5 Manny or 6-6 draw were the most reasonable scorecards and Manny still wins on the 6-6 if you give him the 10-8.

And Manny hurt Horn badly in Round 9, had he had enough left in the tank to pour it on at the start of Round 10 it seems that the ref would have stopped it.

So pretty much everything went Horn's way, Horn came in great shape with a solid gameplan, Manny went off a cliff physically, the judges gave Horn the benefit of the doubt on the scoring and Manny couldn't pull the trigger for the KO when he had Horn going. Was the probability of all that coming together before the fight more than 20%? Probably not. Everything went for Horn and he still only won 7 rounds to 5 on the two non-idiot judges' scorecards.
