Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series (1 thru 5)

Really they confirmed? If it's not up tonight I'd assume tomorrow morning. Going to try and see some fights for 3 of these guys that I have never watched
dude they're going up right now on 5dimes...all fights have tight MLs, don't think there was anyone + or - 200.

edit: ok I was wrong, Holobaugh is -260

i'm sick of chasing dogs =P i'm hitting holobaugh -260

hope i dont regret passing on o2.5 -185

Wish I went more than 1u on Joby since evens did not last long. Thought about Ricky and Holobaugh too but passed

passing on sanchez for now +100.. (he just went to -130 as i balked)

hrmmm turcios has the hype it seems, he's getting bet already.. but man he's a lanky/skinny dude.. salmon might be sturdier/stronger... +160 now, hrmmm...

and yea, o2.5 now -230 on holobaugh-bessette.. kinda expected that...

yea i know there's more hype on turcios. alpha male. etc.

but i think i like salmon here, especially at +160. i might even say i like him at pick'em. i think he has more pop in his punches and he might be physically stronger.

after watching tape i'm happy to play sanchez here as a slight fav.

Hit joby +100. His striking "should" be so much better. Mannys footwork sucks. He's sneaky at getting the back but Joby survived Reis on the ground.

Bet Pretty Ricky a bit as he looked good on paper and tape.

Bet Kurt over + joby over @+106 for action.

Thinking how to play everything else.

salmon isn't bad at all. if this is a striking battle I can see it going either way.

I would cap ricky at -125 I think there is value on boston.

yep. he's got more power, man. sits down on his punches more.. got those big hawaiian huevos on him, hehe. i like salmon here +160, definitely

2.6u holobaugh -260 (who am i and what have i done with ez, right?)

1u salmon +160

Anyone watched a bit of Greg Rebello? Any thoughts if so.

I've watched both Rebello fighting on AXS TV fighting in CES MMA and his opponent Anyanwu on CBS SN on the occasional tape delayed CFFC cards they broadcast. Both experienced heavyweights. I believe Rebello trains with Mark DellaGrotte in New England. He has decent power and even submission skill, and I think he's the rightful favorite here.

Agreed on that. I've watched Anyanwu in person, and he isn't the most active HW I'd say especially not starting quickly recently. I was thinking of hitting that over at -165 to be honest.

I really like the over 1½ rounds at -165 in the heavyweight fight, as Anyanwu is durable and has gone four rounds in a title fight recently. Look at Bessette's record, both wins and losses, and they mostly end ITD. With Holobaugh deemed a step up in competition, I like the under 2½ at +170 in the headlining fight. and I like the value on Boston Salmon at +140 vs Turcios.

bessette's lack of defence will be a train wreck against holobaugh.

-6 days notice
-went straight into weightcut mode when he got the news (weight 210)
-already had a fight scheduled (July 22th)
-predicts tko r2
