UFN 114 PBP/Discussion

I thought Randa did much better than I expected. Basically if she didn't do that head and arm throw she would have won R1 and the fight. When she shot, she had success and Randa really should implement that into her game more. If she does she wins more fights.

I did well, thanks! 3/4 books profited thanks to Grasso, and while one other did as well I blew that live-betting the main event finishing ITD. So, overall a good bounce back night but I have to step away from live-betting as it hasn't been a successful venture for me. Seriously researching temporary website blockers.

Yourself?

I split my two main Sergio and Evans so I came out good. Nice on us. Too bad we have forever till the next one UGH

When you get the draw at +3300 in the 5th round it is 100% worth to make that assumption and bet it. I'd do the same bet again without a doubt.
I probably agree. I'm expecting a fairly random distribution of scores.

14/17 media members scored the fight for Pettis.

What rd do you give moreno besides 1? 5 maybe but he didnt do anything on the ground pettis even landed the better strikes on the ground. If someone thinks that fight was a draw or moreno won that just shows how flawed the scoring is bc that fight wasnt close after the 1st rd

New scoring Rd 1 and even Rd 3 should have been 10-8s

There was a huge difference from those rounds and 2, 4 & 5. That's the reason for the new criteria. It doesn't have to be TOTAL domination now
No but if you're not totally dominating someone you should beat them in more than one area to get a 10-8. You can't just push someone against the cage and barely land a single significant strike and get a 10-8 right?

Wil be haunted by visions of the +300 screen on 5 dimes with the enter your password prompt. Got greedy and didn't take it

It could be worse. You could've actually hit submit and thought that you got the +305 and then later come back to the tab to find out that the bet wasn't accepted. Not the first time this happened to me either.

I honestly didn't think there was a chance Pettis wasn't getting the nod there. Are people surprised by the media scores too? That fight seemed pretty clear to me.

In its totality I agree^^^^^. Under the new criteria you could I suppose make a case for a 10-8 first round (I wouldn't score it that, but I guess maybe you could?) Rd 5 was **I guess** close enough to sort of maybe think a judge would give it to Moreno? I didn't, but not completely bonkers to think someone could.

I had it 49-46 Pettis. But while I think 47-47 is the wrong score, I suppose we've seen worse scorecards (again given the new judging criteria).

Missed the whole event due to bachelor party, is there an fights worthy of watching?

I assumed draw in Mexico.

Round 1 was a 10-8 for Moreno as it was a total domination.
Round 5 was pretty close but I'd give it to Moreno in Mexico City if Alejandro perez won round 2 after getting dropped.
Pettis easily won round 2,3, and 4.

It's either 47-47 draw in Mexico City or 48-46 if you give Pettis the fifth round.

I was pretty big on pettis after the second round at -110 and +100 so I'm happy with the decision.

No fight of the night bonus was awarded, but there were 7 first round finishes. Probably worth seeing Bandenay stiffening Bravo really bad, reminded me a bit of Barboza/Etim few years back.

If they had issued that fight a draw that would have been the worst decision ive seen in a long long time absolutely no way that should be a draw

I probably need to rewatch it. I golfed out of town early in the day and had quite a few beers. I was tired as hell too. Tough one for me to stay up for as I wasn't super pumped on the event.

3.5u down, first losing event since Sweden.

Now at 95.5u for the year.....got lots of time to review tape for next event.
