UFC 217 PBP/Discussion

He was almost finished really? He looked like he would lose, I never thought he was ever almost finished though
ah i didn't mean from like a KO standpoint at that point. his gas tank was pretty depleted, got cut pretty bad also. without that shot, i think Bisping would've just dominated after that round.

classy acts, those two.

Maybe best card ever.

Congrats to all of the winners and hang in there for all of the losers we have a shit load of UFC events coming back to back to back to back so keep your chin up and head a swivel unlike Cody did tonight LOL

How anyone can have a go in any way at GSP tonight is bizzare, not sure if it's losing bets or what but he just came back from a huge layoff and finishes Bisping, a guy who's fought at LHW and current MW champion....

Meh, each to their own I guess, I was impressed.

I think Bisping literally has one eye at this point and has given everything he can to the sport. It was a awkward transition that lead to finish but had Bisping survived GSP most likely would have been completely gassed in the next round. Honestly they both need to retire and move on with their lives.

Worst night ever. I'm not gonna add it up for few days

TJ and GSP absolutely saved my night.

I was so tilted, went from -5u because of Zahabi/Harris/Duffy/JJ to +2.5u. Oh man

To be honest I'd have been less impressed if he done that in round 1.

I was playing him but the big question for me and I'm sure many others was "What happens after 2 or 3 rounds if he slows down?" Which was inevitable after that layoff and move up in weight.

He ate some solid shots, didn't quit or wilt, he continued to fight even though he was bloodied up and cut, drops the MW champ and chokes him out when to be fair he looked done and exhausted.

3 hard rounds under his belt and he will only look better next time.

Both still have a few fights should they want them, neither is Hendricks level by any stretch of the imagination. But for his own health and vision I don't want to see Bisping lose permanent vision.

A big losing night for me

Agree. Got cut up, wasn't able to hold on to top control, but still dug deep for that win. Much respect to GSP there

Even though I lost money, This fucking card was insane watching it live!! Definitely helped lessen the blow.

I was on him but at the point he got cut up and Bisping got back up I genuinely thought it was over for him, he doesn't need the money etc it was purely for him about becoming champion again and testing himself, and that he did. Fantastic night, one of the best UFC cards of all time for sure! Who would have thought 3 new champs!

that was just horrible, i'm really questioning my sanity after that card.

GSP would have beat Woodley if he fought him tonight. Incredible performance didn’t lose a step wow.
