Yes, but some leg kicks don't hurt at all. I'm not saying Kelly wasn't hurt by the leg kicks, he was and he showed it--that's why he lost. But if he walked through them without batting an eyelash, then he should have won the fight regardless of the strike count. As is, it was closer than the scorecards indicated.

Let's get away from this particular fight for a moment.

Scenario A: I kick you in the leg, hard. You don't flinch.

Scenario B: I kick you in the leg, hard. You do flinch.

Sure it makes sense to give me more credit for B than for A, but I think the judges typically give 2x as much credit for B and I think that's wrong.
