Boxing Discussion VI

Got some on Valera vs Barrera tomorrow at a nice price. Could go into detail why but don't have time to be posting it all, stylistically I like him here, not a tip, just posting my play.

barrera dec -110 hedged valera +2000, draw +3500

i doubt the dominican is going to get a decision against sullivan on a main events card but barrera can be chinny when he gets aggressive and has suffered kds in three of his last four and in a 10 round fight couldt pass up the hedge

thought about throwing some money on Ustinov but I can't in good conscience put $ on a fighter with such poor skills.
So I opened a 3 team parlay with Sosa in the 1st spot. Gamboa looks like a classic speed/athletic fighter who's lost his physical gifts & can't cover up his bad habits anymore. We'll see though.

I wouldn't back Gamboa by any means here as I've mentioned but I certainly won't go against him this time out with his new coach (Otano), there is a slim chance we see him box rather that try go to war and leave gaping defensive holes. Sosa is nothing spectacular overall, but saying that if Gamboa isn't in great shape Sosa could absolutely finish him.

If Ustinov wins I can't lie I probably will lay some on Gamboa for fun, purely because I've been a fan for years.

I wouldnt be shocked if Gamboa pulls it off cause of what ive seen him do in the past. I'm hoping he looks broke down & shot though. Another x factor with Gamboa is the fact that he may of gotten back on the juice which wouldn't suprise me.
Just read that Charr had double hip surgery earlier this year? That makes a bet on Ustinov look like easy money.

He's also not fought a true decent opponent since being shot in 2015.

This was meant to be Oquendo but he didn't want any of Ustinov or so it would seem, so Charr steps in for a variation of the belt. Ustinov's size should prove too much for Charr here, I think a late stoppage is likely but happy to play Ustinov @ 1.63.

Nice showing for Ryan Hatton on the undercard a few minutes ago, mentioned him on the Saunders vs Monroe Jr undercard, looks like he could be a very good prospect.

Ustinov fading hard and down in the 8th with a big cut.

Never been a clean crisp boxer but looking every part of 40 now, shame, Kovalev card will be key now.

What are your plays tonight Crow? Kov ITD and Valera ml? How much?

Meh, Ustinov a huge let down, wasn't the best of idea to bet on a bout like that but as many experts thought too, Ustinov should have taken that without too much concern. Win some, lose some, on to the Kovalev card, lessen learned.

Playing some on Valera.
May play some on Gamboa purely for fun as I mentioned earlier.
Kovalev 7-12 or Points @ 2.25 too.
