Kentucky Derby...and Beyond?

"Race 3 at Woodbine - I'll play the #7 to W/P at fair odds or better, and then key him over & under with the #1, #6 in exactas."

The will pays say it's doubtful I get a good price on the #7 (probably the favourite in the end), so it's looking like it'll be those exactas for $10 each for me in this race.

I’m joining you on this one but I’m going to play a trifecta 7 over 1,6 over 1,6.

GL Shark!

The #7 wins by daylight as the pace pattern horse, but the other two could only manage 3rd and 4th thus screwing @t6p and I on our bets.

At least you were targeting the right horse there bud. Easy win for the #7.

If I could get every pace pattern horse to run like that then I'll be a rich man in no time.

"Race 4 at Woodbine - I'll play the #3 to W/P at fair odds or better, play the #3 over #12 straight exacta since it worked last week, and then play some #3, #7 over #3, #4, #7, #12 over #3, #4, #7, #12 trifectas."

I should get my price on the #3 here, so W/P for $10/$10 on him is likely the play. Then the exacta straight for $6, and then the trifectas for $2 each. $50 risked in total.

Uh, not at it's current 9/5 I won't be. You at it again @t6p? The will pays say it won't go nearly that low, though.

"Race 5 at Saratoga - I'll play the #10 to W/P at fair odds or better, and then key him over the #4, #7, #9 in exactas and trifectas."

W/P for $12/$12 since I'll get my price, and then the exactas for $4 and trifectas for $2.

Tailing the exactas and trifectas. Probably gonna be the last race I play today so let’s cash this shit!

I'm in with these. The #3 was right at my fair odds line of 5/2, so I played. Not sure where the very late money goes.

Another pace pattern horse crushes the field by daylight.

Came back #4, #9, #10, #7. Right horses, wrong order, T. Unless you boxed them.

I'm going to be playing each race for between $40 and $50 with it basically being divided equally between straight bets and exotics. If I don't get the odds I want with straight bets I'll up the amount on exotics for that race. The exception being that 5th race at Woodbine with my horse scratching. I'll play the #9 horse in that one a lot smaller (like $10 or $15).

The #9 is getting bet way more than I thought it would, so no addition bets in this race for me besides the pick 3 I put in earlier and that I'm still alive to.

One of the few times when I didn’t box, haha. Ah well. GL for the rest of the day Shark.

Cheers T. Not sure it would have been worth it to box them anyways since the trifecta only paid 33/1 and you're covering 24 combos with 4 horses.

Prefer the #8 win the 5th at Woodbine since that pick 3 would pay the best at 85/1. But the #9 winning is okay too for a 65/1 payout. The #3 is only 40/1 on the pick 3.

The #9 won with the #3 in second, so my pick 3 payout is in the "okay" category.

"Race 9 at Parx - I'll play the #2 to W/P at fair odds or better, maybe a straight #8 over #2 exacta, and then some trifectas with #8 over #2 over #1, #3 and #8 over #1, #3 over #2."

Gonna go with these at $10/$15, the straight exacta for $5, and then the trifectas for $2 each.

"Race 8 at Woodbine - The #9 to W/P at whatever they give me since he's 20/1 on the morning line, and then key him over & under with the #5, #6 in exactas."

I'll go across the board with the #9 for $5/$10/$10 since he should be a big price, and then play the exactas for $5.

Nope, nothing.

Gonna bet and forget a couple of pace pattern horse to W/P today for $5/$10 before I head out the door;

Race 7 at Parx - #6 Glad Moon 5/2 (NPT, E2)

Race 8 at Fort Erie - #6 My Pal Katherine 8/1 (NPT, E2, LET)

No more exactas or trifectas for a while as that has been killing my account the last month or so. Just straight bets on one horse.
