What's the backroom discussion at ESPN like after Poirier vs Max didn't even draw 100K PPV buys?

Are u a fat guy that makes judgements on fighters like your opinion holds any merit?

Mma media appears to solely consists of writing 10 articles about quotes from 1 interview, fight recaps, and being feed “breaking news” from promoters. Where is investigative journalism, and what is its place in mma media? For the most part it seems nonexistent.

I guess I can throw some more wood onto the fire.

* Has Russia overtaken Brazil as the nr 2 MMA country in the world? If not, do you think the takeover is imminent? What do you see as the future for Brazilia MMA with so much of its talent (both fighters and coaches) migrating out of the country? Will it go the way of JMMA?

* Let's get personal here, setting aside close confidants of yours, were there any MMA journalists that you held in high-esteem when trying to get into the business? Or any that you do so presently? Shoutouts to OG Loretta Hunt.

* With Rory's admitted mental issues to activate his killer instinct, and MVP's laughably bad performance last time, is Douglas Lima's crowning as King of Welterweight merely a matter of time?

* So Elias Theodorou has sort of a silly fighting style. How good do you think a fighter could become just by doing slapdash strikes like that? If you taught it to, say, Jon Jones, do you think it would be enough for him to become a Champion? Is the style legit?

We have updated the poll, with today's question asking what fight you are looking forward to the most between the two events of UFC 237 and Bellator 221.

Also, the show will air live TONIGHT at 8 PM ET due to PFL on tomorrow night. Subbing in for Jason Burgos, who is on Sherdog.com media duties, will be our senior editor, Ben Duffy! You may remember him from his appearances on Episodes 3 and 11 of The Trenches.

Surprised @Frank McEdgar didn't want to try to audition for the co-chair spot tonight with a solid question or three. Burgos is on media duties and Duffy is stepping in, McEdgar theoretically could have jumped in if he campaigned hard enough.

Voted Rose vs Andrade.

Would have added Aldo vs Volkanovski if I was allowed 2 votes.

We considered a second vote but thought some might put two votes for a single event instead of one for each card, which would be ok but could easily skew the vote.

Anderson vs Cannonier and Lima vs MVP.
Lima vs Page will be fascinating

I've wanted to see MVP against a legit ufc contender level guy for a long time....saw his united states debut in person.

That said....I'm worried about those Lima leg kicks. Won't take many of those to stop Page's lateral quickness

Anderson vs Cannonier
This fight gives me such pause. The worst case scenario of Silva getting flattened by Jared Cannonier is not a prospect I want to imagine. Cannonier is a top 10 guy because he brutalized David Branch, so a win puts Silva in title contention again by the way these things seem to go.

Cannonier is still the guy who gets absolutely flummoxed whenever someone displays lateral movement though. Seems like an age-test for Silva.

It's the most winnable fresh matchup for Silva in the top 10 of the division.

As a reminder, this show will be LIVE at the top of the hour!

Thug Rose vs Andrade has the makings to be an all time great in short WMMA career in the UFC... But Lima vs MVP, could "could" be epic... Will MVP go straight highlight reel or will an actual top tier test be too much for Page.
