Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series- Season 3

They're better at shutting down streams now though which sucks

nice flying knee but needed more power, and good takedown defense so far. Looking much better than his +600 tag suggests

Meeks so square even at -300

Should’ve free rolled that one.

super regretting not putting more than 1u on castro. This meeks is shit for -1200 already looking tired.

Up $1400 on the first fight. Let's GOOOOOOOOOOO lol

This is the only fight I taped, and I felt that Meeks wasn't very exciting at -300, as I capped him around -350 to -400. Him being -720 is a bit silly. Yeah, De Castro kind of sucks, but his striking is still light-years ahead of what Meeks showed, and Meeks' wrestling, like that of some other guys with Greco-Roman bases, is oddly disappointing.

He relies on a slow low single that he doesn't set up with anything. That definitely increases the chances he gets with something or that De Castro can at least briefly keep the fight standing.

Have no clue about De Castro's ground game, but he survived to decision in the amateurs against a couple of guys with respectable grappling bases, and might have improved in the years since. Is it that crazy to think that Meeks, who has been doing MMA for all of 18 months and hasn't learned very much in that time, gets caught coming in or fails to finish him and gets betrayed by cardio about 20-25% of the time? I don't think so.

Props to the people who got Meeks at -230 and for all of 3 minutes, -185, though. The latter is excellent value.

Welp, my read was correct, although I didn't see nearly enough of De Castro's ground game and wrestling to put any money on him. Would have felt like pure gambling.

Also, pro tip for Meeks: before declaring that the heavyweight division is shit, make sure you're not one of those shit heavyweights yourself.

What a blown free roll opportunity on that turd of a fighter

When he landed that knee and got up quickly after the first take down immediately regretted not putting $ on de Castro
