How long is everyone going to cry over Dana wanting fighters on HIS show to finish fights and be exciting?

I'm going to guess until someone pops hot later in the week or a big name signs a fight

(ALT VERSION OF QUESTION: What is your take on the Loughnane / DWTNCS situation?)

Why does this TUF newb think he has any knowledge about mma?

Who has the GOAT hairline in UFC history?

Should there be a HoF place for such accolades.

Or maybe a less serious question: When the UFC passes over Tony to hand McGregor another shot at Khabib - will anyone even care like they should?

Conor's head coach recently said that names like Justin Gaethje were being tossed around as potential opponents (before Conor injured his hand). Do you believe that Conor will take a contender fight before getting his inevitable rematch with Khabib? And should it be against a dangerous guy like Justin?

* Darrion vs Kyoji - Was that the worst BW fight of all time? Why are refs insistent on not standing up the fighters in situations like these? Will America ever recover from this disgrace?

* Patricky Pitbull goes to Japan! Who do you think Bellator will ask for in return?

Does the UFC SHW division still exist on paper and would the UFC ever develop it if there was enough talent for it?

The poll didn't go up...

So. Don't mind Dana wanting finishers in the UFC... but seems like he passed on decent talent. Obviously setting the tone for up coming fighters to go "Just Bleed"... cause it is also about ESPN+ getting ratings.

Its also pretty weird when The Brit is facing quality opposition and those other contenders are taking on lower levels of adversaries.

Jason is being held up with some family stuff, we'll be going live at 5:30 ET. Sorry for the delay

And jei is on holiday, so he's not going to be that much of a help.

So. No PFL tonight and not really that much MMA breaking at the moment... Will Zion be the next Lebron... or will he and the Laker B Team play second fiddle to the pesky Texas Teams. :)

I do think the UFC has some reputation-shoring to do with the general public. Not that the UFC is no longer synonymous with MMA for most of the population, but holes are appearing in that wall, holes that need fixing. They can be ignored for a while but eventually they must be addressed.

Dana thinks entertainment value is what matters. And that is true, so long as the UFC is still universally recognized as the monopoly on elite MMA. If that is in question, it doesn't matter what the entertainment value is. Fights could be real barn-burners, but numbers will go down if people aren't certain they're watching the best in the world. The UFC needs to maintain the monopoly on elite MMA at all costs.
