Was just thinking about Lewis vs Ivanov and how people say beast improved

I didn’t see it. He looked like he always looks. I thought he lost the fight. He had his moments where he landed but most of the time Blagoy was controlling the pace, holding him against the cage, taking him down and threatening him with submissions.

beast makes up for a lot of his flaws by being ridiculously strong.

Did beast looked better by not looking like he was going to fill his britches for two out of three rounds? Yea, I guess that’s a big improvement for him.

I agree, actually thought blagoy fought the better fight. What really lost the fight for him was favoring sub over position. I would have laid on BB for that whole first round making him carry my weight instead of the speculative keyhole attempt. Anyway.... everyone loves Lewis so prob shouldn't bet against him when the fight is so close. I think we can safely assume Lewis will look exactly the same next time out. Would be extremely surprised if he weighs less than 265lb

These are 2 of the lowest volume heavyweights in the division. By definition it's a whole bunch of nothing. I think it's pretty impressive to make a 120kg man flying above your head tho. Everyone knows the media laps up those hot balls so that dont count for much

A good 34% of the public scored the fight for Ivanov, so the 1 judge and ill800 having it for Ivanov is not so crazy.

Lewis clearly won round 1, and most people (myself included) would agree that Ivanov won round 3, so it all comes down to round 2.

Lewis inflicted heavy damage with punches, but Ivanov also hurt him with strikes, including momentarily dropping Lewis (lost in the excitement of the crowd and audience), as well as taking him down and very nearly finishing him with a deep keylock.

I scored it for Lewis, but again, giving it to Ivanov is far from insane.
