UFC 247 PBP/Discussion

Nah, I just get annoyed at idiots talking out of their asses and autistically insisting they're correct, all while avoiding a factual discussion (which would actually be interesting and edifying).

But I've wasted enough time trying to convince a literal rock. Do you think the Easter Bunny is real, by chance?
I’ve actually engaged you pretty respectfully and I’m happy to explore what we disagree about.

It wouldn't be real sherdog forum if that wasn't the case.

Proving once more Reyes should have being given the win not Jones by this tweet of the screenshot of each rounds.
With two rounds for Jones that would be in 80 total.
Reyes 95 points.
Its a clear robbery.

The math again. Not sure where or how they counted Jones to be the total final with a 90+ for Jones.
Jones 80 SS
Reyes 95 SS.

But i guess Dana White doesn't want this "supposedly legend" of a fighter bones to be defeated as quickly as he nearly was yesterday.

So i am still going to suspect a robbery a possibility.

The three Judges scorecards:

1) Marcos Rosales 2, 4, and 5 to Jones.
2) Chris Lee 3,4,5 to Jones.
3) Joe Solis 2, 3 4 5 to Jones.

These scores make no sense.

IMO Reyes-Jones was pretty coinflip in the end and it should have come down to how individuals interpreted R2. 2 judges giving R3 to Jones confuses me, as I'd say that Reyes did probably the most damage in the fight in the first minute of that round. Annoying when a juiced favorite wins a close dec from a gambling POV, but it happens.

Some guy put $1000 on Reyes, his face must have lit up when Bruce said 49-46 lol

Lol i had 900 on reyes. But hedged on jones decision and live when it was even money. I knew he was going to win after the bell. You just know with the ufc they will never let jones losr if its arguable.

This event was a good reminder that half the battle of MMA gambling is knowing when to not bet or scale back. I got buried here, but bet around 25% of a normal event. Congrats to any winners - it was a tough card.

I wonder if Joe Soliz is going to get murdered. He has to be the worst judge ever. He scores Ewell 30-27 over Martinez which is absolutely insane. He scores Giles 29-28 over Krause which isn't so bad right? Wrong - he scored Rd 1 for Giles! He then caps off the night scoring Jones 49-26.

Anyone see the official scorecard? First 2 rounds are typed and it says DRAW-MAJORITY DRAW at bottom. lol what a joke.

what in the heck is that thing?

from the “computers crashing” to a judge “looking at the floor”, I can honestly say I’ve never seen a ufc card like that. I’m still in disbelief

I felt really proud that I was able to completely skip any pre betting for Ufc FN 166. Last year I would have certainly coke binge played some losing bets on that card.

I'm glad my interest was so low that I didn't even have the desire to chase.

Now Jones vs Reyes is the perfect example of a bad decision. Not Murphy KGB

I thought Martinez/Ewell and Lee/Murphy were worse decisions than Jones/Reyes. I thought Martinez/Ewell was probably the worst.

Eh, agree to disagree I guess. As Dathorn said, my ability to judge rounds is worse than that easy money Mptoushi guy or whatever the fuck.

I regret not taking Reyes points in hindsight. I won’t make that mistake again.

Bad decisions in Ewell's and Murphy's fights went my way so I can't really complain too much about the bad decision in the Reyes fight... But Reyes won at least 3 rounds.
